Great room with excellent theming. Puzzles made sense even if they took a bit of time to solve.

Having played quite a few pirate escape rooms by now, it was nice to see and experience new puzzles and a gorgeous set in ‘Bellamy’s Booty’. From the meticulously curved stern of the ship to the cabins within, Social Escape succeeds in offering one of Australia’s nicest seafaring adventures. Interesting puzzles that float well within the theme of a swashbuckling escape game are presented throughout, with some more complex layered puzzles offered midway through the experience. With such varied puzzles in type and difficulty, it seems that each player in a team would walk away from ‘Bellamy’s Booty’ with a different favourite puzzle—we certainly did!

We did this room in our usual group of two. The generally non-linear aspect allowed us to tackle multiple things at once. Some tricky puzzles made us pause. The detailed stars at the end of the room clearly showed where we had struggled. Mark was a great GM, having invested so much time into designing, building and running this place. Definitely recommended!
Great theming. Beautifully done!
We rang up, said we had some time free, what was available, and Mark found a room between other bookings for us!

We really enjoyed this room today. It was our third room we completed at Social Escape rooms today and it was a little harder than Paris Escape and Baker Street mystery. Room was elegantly designed and we loved the manual keys and locks. Some great visual clues that got us thinking! The Social Escape Rooms team is phenomenal! Can’t recommend this place enough…. We enjoyed their first 3 rooms almost as much as we enjoyed all the Cipher room games! Well done team

Another wonderful offering from Social Escape. The theming and atmosphere is solid as usual, but what makes Social Escape's rooms so fun is always the quality and variety of puzzles that keep players busy and engaged throughout the entire experience. Even though Social Escape is best known for the TERPECA-nominated Bank Heist and Ransom, we felt this room was on par in terms of overall quality and satisfaction. We were especially impressed by how the puzzles in this pirate-themed room were very different and more abstract than their other rooms, giving us an even bigger challenge and forcing us to use 2 hints to escape.

7/10 Pirate-themed escape room. Loved the sound design & live disembodied guide. Couple of puzzles felt a bit contrived - we got stuck on them for quite a while and the solution didn’t seem that impressive - but the rest of the puzzles were really fun.

Had a great time at social escape. The best pirate theme room I’ve done. Had some good variation of puzzles - some I hadn’t seen before, also had a few jokes which made us chuckle as we did the room

Completed the room with 2 people in around 54 mins. Very immersive room and gameplay with a lot of puzzles to solve. The puzzles were very creative and fun to figure out. We needed a couple of hints to nudge us along at times but overall a very satisfying experience. Would recommend!
