You’ve stumbled upon a cabin and the only way to make sure you survive through the night is by finding your way inside that cabin and finding everything you need to start a fire. The GM did not tell us that the keypad on the wall was not a part of the game, and we wasted a good amount of time trying to figure out its purpose.
