We had a great time. Hunter was our God, and did a great job reading the room, and offering subtle hints or suggestions at just the right moment. This one isn't very physical, but does require teamwork and cooperation. We did it with 4 people which seemed just the perfect amount. (3 would be fine too).
It was fun and challenging, with a good story to follow, and appropriate props.
A really well-built immersive set.
Hunter was great!

Some tight quarters, and would be off balance with more players.

Not good for color blind, blind, or people with mobility issues. Some areas of rougher terrain, and puzzles requiring physical skill and coordination.

This one was just okay for us - maybe a 6-6.5/10. It took the two of us the full 100 minutes, mostly because some of the puzzles were fairly time-consuming. We’ve done a few 70-minute escape rooms nearby that managed to pack in a lot more, so it felt like a bit of a letdown, especially given how expensive it is for just two players (almost $190). The room is fairly lock-heavy. The puzzles are logical (and one involved a neat effect we hadn’t seen before), but some honestly felt pretty tedious. Overall, nothing felt particularly surprising, clever, or exciting in this room, although it’d be good for a smaller group that likes to divide and conquer since different puzzles can be worked simultaneously. I think our expectations were probably just too high based on the length/cost of the room and the preferences we’ve developed after playing other local rooms. The puzzles are solid enough, but if you like the “extras” of hidden spaces, mechanically-active puzzles, or unique props, they’re not really here. If you prefer more “think”-type rooms, where you’re mostly solving a math or symbol puzzle (or even just a regular jigsaw puzzle) to get a number or word code for a lock, it’ll be right up your alley. Our GM Katie was excellent.

My friends and I made the trek from Seattle to Renton to check out Sure Lock Escapes’s TERPECA-nominated rooms, Guardian’s Grove and Shimmer Reef. We're a group of 7 experienced escapers, each with 10-40 rooms under our belts. The storyline was engaging, and the room itself was a blast. Even with our extensive experience, we still encountered some tricky challenges, which kept all of us actively engaged. The room was well-paced and there was always something for everyone to be working on simultaneously. Guardian’s Grove was a standout for us, especially with the 100-minute time limit. It’s rare to have that much time in a room, and it allowed us to fully dive into the puzzles and enjoy every minute. We really felt like we got our money’s worth, though things did get a little crowded with 7 players.

This room had some very clever puzzles… a definite must do if you are in the area… only used 68 of the 100 minutes for the room with no clues… swamp ninjas…

Our first Sure Lock escape room and we are excited to go back ASAP! I actually got nervous that we wouldn't be able to make it out for a second but we managed to pull it together with 3 minutes to spare so that was exciting. Lots of different kinds of puzzles thar suited different people in our group so everyone had their time to shine.

I want to say medium but we also barley made it out lol! I want to say it's because we were rusty. There were definitely a lot of "oh duh" moments.

I asked to being one of their chairs in with me because I can't stand for long and they were super sweet about it and it helped but I imagine crutches/wheelchair would be very cramped and the atmospheric lighting might make it very hard for people to see, I was squinting quite a bit.

First time experience at this establishment and we loved it. Our group of five managed to finish with 2 minutes to spare :) very friendly staff and wonderful environment.

Longest Escape Room we’ve ever done at 100 minutes! And we needed just about every second of it to escape (there were only 2 of us, so I’m sure it could be done faster with more people). Friendly staff and the game master gave good hints that didn’t give too much away when we needed them. A mix of easier and more challenging puzzles. The room was pretty dark and hard to see sometimes, if I did it again, I would ask the game master if we could turn up the lights a little bit (which she did offer to do). Overall a pretty good escape room, although not one of my favorites, but I’m glad we did it so that we could experience a room that lasts over an hour.

It was a fun room and the staff was amazing. Our group was kind of confused why the room length was so long, for the price we expected something a little more grandiose.
Staff was fantastic!
