Voted Best in Scotland. A Private Investigator, neck deep in a case. He was found in his office late last night, the walls soaked with warm blood and ill intent. The other cops see no sign of foul play, just a man at the end of his tether. But you're not like the other cops: you're detectives. Gritty, hard boiled, and not so quick to take things at face value. What really happened here? what did Max discover? How - and why - did he die? We need you to find out.

An incredibly positive surprise! The perfect proof that great rooms don’t need a huge budget. A truly thrilling case. I enjoyed every minute of solving it.
I’m a huge fan of everything related to detectives, police work, true crime, and so on. So this was EXACTLY my kind of room. Search for the evidence, put two and two together, find the murderer. You’re fully immersed in the story at all times. It’s always clear what you need to do. Which results in a fantastic flow.
A 100% immersive game. This room proves that you can create something amazing on a small budget. Everything that’s there has a purpose.
The GM was really cool, funny, and pleasant. Both during the briefing and the debriefing, we felt genuinely welcome and well taken care of.

This isn’t a classic escape room. You’re solving a murder case. Definitely unusual—in the best possible way. One element was something I had never seen in a room before, which I particularly loved.
The story is fantastic. Saying anything more would be a spoiler. 😉

Don’t let that fool you! It was perfect just the way it was. We’re not talking about boring number locks here, but creative mechanisms.

I prefer playing with just two people. But there’s definitely enough to do for four.

We thoroughly enjoyed The Murder of Max Sinclair. Our GM Ronan, gave an enthusiastic and friendly welcome and guided us through the game, offering a genuinely interactive and fun experience. This is a fun, well thought out experience, with an impressive attention to the art of storytelling. You need to rely heavily on deduction alongside puzzling skills, and we really enjoyed this different approach. Great room that we’d highly recommend.
Excellent gameplay with a logical play-through and a wonderful GM!

All I can say is wow! The wonderful people who created this experience clearly have a love and passion for what they do, very thorough, very original and one of the best I’ve done! Our game leader was brilliant, and enhanced the experience from start to finish (I can’t remember the lovely person’s name unfortunately!) - Thanks again for a great time :)

This was by far one of the best escape rooms I have completed. Words cannot really describe how great an experience it was. We took the time to enjoy the board game cafe prior to the escape room, the hot chocolate and latte were on point. The escape room itself was the complete experience, that was only enhanced by the enthusiasm and passion of the games master. This was the highlight of my time in Edinburgh and cannot recommend it enough. When I come back to Edinburgh, Case Closed will be on the top of my list.

I adore Case Closed's Max Sinclair room. It's not the most high tech room. It was clearly put together on a pretty shoe string budget, but there so much loveliness and creativity in each part of this room! The focus is less on escaping and more piecing together the case (if you like The Return of the Obra Dinn, this game is for you). One of my favorites in the UK!

We had an absolute blast in this room! More of a mystery-solving experience than a typical escape room (we were encouraged to take our time to enjoy the experience rather than rush through it). Ronan was a fantastic host—energetic and enthusiastic. We are excited to try their other room on our next trip to Edinburgh. Highly recommend!

Case Closed deserves a perfect score in our books—a definite must-try if you find yourself in Edinburgh. Our only minor quibble is the occasional simplicity of some puzzles. Should they ever craft a room tailored for escape room enthusiasts, it would undoubtedly earn a coveted spot on our bucket lists.

Played this at the original venue, which was quite small. But it packed in plenty and is something very different in the way it is presented. I commented on it during the room which Ronan (GM and owner) picked up on. Definitely a must play.

This has easily jumped to my number one room. The style of the game play makes you forget that you’re in an escape room with a time limit. You just become immersed. I adored the use of lighting in the room and so many of the puzzles were logical not out of place. The ending: I won’t spoil it too much, but finally an end to the game that delivers on the synopsis. My only not fault is that there isn’t more games by this Case Closed!
Utterly fantastic! The story line flowed so well.
Very impressive set. You forget you’re in an escape room and not someone’s office
Amazing host!
“Unique experience blending escape room and detective investigation!“
