Play the Fantastic Catalina Race - an interactive, clue-based adventure game that's like a reality show come to life! Equal parts live-action mystery novel and scavenger hunt, it's the best, most fun, and most unique way to experience Catalina. If you’re new to our experience, essentially players sign up in teams of 2 to 8 people. All teams meet at a ‘hosted’ starting line where they receive their first clue. The solution to the clue leads to a new location and a new clue, then to the next and so on. The team that solves all the clues and crosses the finish line in the least amount of time is crowned the winner. Players will need their wits, energy, and sense of adventure as they race against time and fellow competitors while solving devious clues and completing fun tasks. And when players cross the finish line, the fun is just beginning. There we provide everyone in the group with complimentary beverages and snacks. While players eat, drink, and make merry, we wrap up the day with a fun awards ceremony, that includes prizes for top finishers and all the war stories players can handle.

A fun linear-style scavenger hunt (similar to The Amazing Race) where solving one clue or puzzle will lead you to your next in a foot race around a portion of Avalon. Some very memorable, special, and one-of-a-kind tasks and challenges sprinkled among more common puzzles. A unique way to experience parts of Catalina Island. Celebratory drinks and snacks are included at the finish line, and the guides always do a great job of creating a supportive, yet competitive environment amongst teams. This race is about half the length of the Santa Monica or LA options from this company, but still felt full and complete.

Gameplay

Puzzles were balanced - not too simple, and not overly complicated. One puzzle towards the very beginning felt incomplete which led most teams to overthink it. Huge variety of puzzle types - you won’t be doing the same thing twice.

Atmosphere

All puzzles made you feel like you were experiencing Catalina Island like a local and visitor alike.

Customer service

Shoutout to Angela, who created a welcoming, yet competitive dynamic for the group.
