Can You Solve The Mystery, Or Will You Be Lost In Time? Chronos, a mysterious experiment/anomaly has suspended a Victorian Laboratory in time. The Powers That Govern, a mysterious secret society, some of its past members being the most brilliant minds in history; Da Vinci, Tesla and Einstein, have enlisted you and your team to investigate further. The lead scientist and creator of Chronos, Elizabeth Palamate is said to have been protective of her works and rumour has it, sealed most of her most important work in a secret vault somewhere within her Laboratory. They, The Powers That Govern, theorize that Chronos has started to degrade and become unstable, they want you to retrieve the source of this energy so they can safely dispose of this mysterious power. Opening the door and entering into the Laboratory will set of a chain reaction of events that will accelerate time and we believe you will have a one hour window in which to find Chronos and escape with it, or be lost forever to time itself.

So first of all the set itself is very similar to curio, I would personally like to see a bit more variety in the games offered, but the set is of a very high quality and it does fit the Victorian style mentioned by the story here! This room was really cool, the mode of transport of the orbs was really fun and the puzzle design was very cool! But ultimately we thought the room lacked signposting, many times we found ourselves unclear where to go next! And with a certain directional puzzle near the end there was no indication what the order of those directions should be and the images around that puzzle served as red herrings. With just a few tweaks this could be an amazing room but as is there were too many leaps in logic. What saved this room for us was our host, the lack of signposting was made up for with hints suggesting loosely where we should be looking next!

We have done quite a few of the rooms at escaplogic Nottingham and Chronos is one my favourites. The room flows really well and has great puzzles. The great thing about escaplogic is that they donโt use locks and keys they use impressive puzzles that fit the theming of the room perfectly. Pagan was great one of the best game masters we have had.
