The Butcher

Idk why I do this to myself. I get scared easily, but I'm drawn to horror-themed escape rooms. This one, just like the Return to Coulrophobia, has a live actor who will scare the bajesus out of you. I was with 3 other people. 2 were pretty brave, and the other one was just like me. I have to admit, I was carried by my team. I tried not to be a dead weight, but maaann ... I was paralyzed with fear that any puzzle just becomes even more difficult/challenging. Anyway, I hope they reopen soon. I can't wait to see on what they are planning when they reopen.

One of the best rooms. From the theme, puzzles, flow, props, atmosphere, to how friendly the staff were and how awesome our GM was, truly made this an experience to remember. We did it with 5 people which was good, we even had 2 people in our group who had never done a spooky/scary escape room before with a live actor and they loved it. It was such a rush and we all walked out of there and couldn’t stop talking about it!

Absolutely horrific and well done!!! Loved the game both game masters did such a phenomenal job.

This was a fun room with some good scares. Not for the faint of heart but such a good experience. A couple tricky puzzles but was able to work our way through the room. The live actor was good at keeping us on our toes and got each of us to jump a number of times. I would recommend for those into the horror themed experience as the actor does get up close and personal. Just keep quiet and maybe he won’t notice you….or maybe that’s just wishful thinking. 🪓

Our group did lights out which increases difficulty tremendously. We loved the introduction to the room and had an amazing GM + live actor! I agree with some other posts that the puzzles weren't always the most satisfying but I think the staff does an amazing job to maintain flow. Non-linear puzzling which adds nicely to spooky environment as you don't want to make too much noise while communicating with your team. Plenty of different types of jump scares. Room features: tight crawl spaces, chases, grab jump scares, dark rooms, and consequences for getting caught. I'd recommend a group of 5/6 people with at least some escape room experience or only a single player without any experience. Group will be separated but you will still be able to communicate. Overall, I'd recommend for people who like a little bit of spook but don't want maximum fear factor.

Hands down my favorite escape room experience yet! The puzzles are neat, a little outdated, but that won’t be what’s on your mind. Your interactions with The Butcher are gonna be your main priority, and you will definitely see him a lot! This room is not super jump scare heavy, but much more active. You will need to be ready to stop what you’re doing a moment’s notice and either run or hide. There are so many moments when a task seems simple, but then they throw a wrench in that makes you dread moving forward. I recommend this to anybody! Even if you’re easily scared, please give it a try! The Butcher can touch you, but it’s never any more aggressive than a grab.

This was a great room! My friends and I enjoyed the lights out version of this room. It definitely made it more difficult. Clues weren’t as obvious to us since we couldn’t see at times. Our live actor was awesome! Palmer was as creepy as expected.

Being in this escape room made me more anxious than both coulrophobia rooms hahah. I'm not a big fan of not knowing what's lurking in the dark, but, overall, I had a lot of fun. I don't remember any of the puzzles being too difficult. For a group of mostly scaredy cats, I'm proud of how well we did!
