I quite enjoyed The Great Room. The puzzles were more blended between tech and mechanical which was nice and there was enough to do for both of us. The height of the room was well used as well, I really liked how they used that space! There are one or two small items that could make this room better but that doesn't mean it's bad by any means. This is the first of the Hayden series we have done and it left me excited to do the others!
A good blend of tech and mechanical. Things flowed pretty well from one thing to the next. It is a pretty linear room so smaller groups would be better here.
I would love to give this a heart but the lack of any audio playing really takes you out of it. We could hear other groups talking in surrounding rooms while we were doing this room. Some basic audio playing would do wonders here. Everything else, set, props, even the hallway getting to the room were very well done!
The GM couldn't tell us what the story was or what we were supposed to be doing in the room. He was kind and gave us a few hints when they were needed and always knew where we were in the game, that's always appreciated!
Particularly interesting or different
No
As far as I can tell there is no story to this room. I asked what the objective was and was told "I don't know, you'll just know when it's over."
There are a few "horror" elements but no jump scares or anything.
Physically active
Somewhat
One player needs to crawl on their hands and knees.
Accessibility
One item requires crawling on hands and knees. But if you have one player to do it the rest won't need to.
Just follow the map in the email they send, it's labeled well.
