You are invited to one of the most prestigious parties at a Mansion in San Diego. Beautiful people and drinks are plenty, and there is no shortage to the endless amount of entertainment around you. The host invites you to join them in their VIP area, but once you get there you get a sinking feeling that something is not right.

8 escape rooms
My favorite escape room to date. The puzzles were interesting and engaging. All of the space was hugely immersive and the storyline and plot kept getting thicker and thicker. The ending is so good and unexpected! I only wish I could play it again. Completed with 4 players, I would recommend no more no less.

Loved this room! It's very low tech, but still quite challenging.

While I think this was a good room with interesting puzzles, it wasn’t a favorite of mine. Some who did the room with me loved it, but it felt very difficult at times (and only had a 67% success rate for the month). I also didn’t care for the somewhat gruesome theme. On a positive note, the puzzles at the beginning were fun and creative and our game master was awesome!

Had such a great experience! Mary was our gm and we felt nothing but warmth and welcomed. Edwin the owner was there and was so nice as well. This room was definitely one of my favorite and same their other rooms!

Overall I enjoyed this room. It says it required 4 people, which it did for the beginning portion, but for much of the time I felt like 4 people was too many and that we didn’t all have things to be working on the whole time. I’d say this was one of the better rooms I’ve done in San Diego, but not the best of all the ones I’ve done in the SoCal area.

One person had to crawl.
Only one person has to crawl. A wheelchair wouldn’t be feasible in that room because of the lips between doorways. Some puzzles require differentiating color.

We went as a family and loved that there was something for everyone to do; we worked with a partner but independently of others from our group. We had a 7 year old with us. The blind fold part was scary for him but after that he was totally fine. Puzzles made sense and things flowed well. Excited to come back and do another room here!

We've done both Sister's Secret (creepier) and this one. The separated start is really unique and a fun way to start. All of Unlockables' rooms are non-linear, which is really great for larger groups. We played with a group of 5, which was almost too many people, but we were all able to have something to do most times.
The gameplay was nonlinear, which is great for larger groups.
Great room design and fun puzzles. It's about 70% locks and 30% tech.
Our GM Shelby was so much fun. We spent so much time talking to her!

The staff member we first encountered was lovely. She was welcoming and helpful, but at some point our game master switched and he wasn’t paying attention to us. We had to ask for a few clues a couple times and it took a while before he responded. And there were some times our team members had asked about something to the group but very long after he responded. At the end usually game masters do a short debrief, but he just enthusiastically asked if we wanted a picture and ushered us out. It felt as if he had the closing shift and wanted us out of there. The puzzles themselves were pretty good but the game mastered soured our experience :-/ I thought the design was interesting and felt immersive. It did seem like the lighting was moreso to make things a little more difficult, but enjoyed the ambiance overall.
Liked the puzzles but with a game master that wasn’t paying attention the flow was disjointed and stagnant at times

Another great Unlockables room! Love the beginning and the volume of puzzles to solve, a nice room for larger groups, plenty to do and all spread out.

Split start, which is always fun. Really gets you warmed up to get you used to talking and sharing what you see with your team. Got through as a team of 4 in the nick of time. There were some added touches to this room that makes it a bit more immersive and mysterious that I appreciated. Our group had a blast and probably one of my favorites in the San Diego area.
