As a special unit in the department for financial crime, your task is to use cutting-edge technology to help catch supervillains. With this technology, you gain access to both the left and right hemispheres of Stein Bagger’s brain—but that won’t be much help in locating the missing 200 million kroner unless the two halves can work together… The group is split into two teams, and it’s recommended to be between 8–14 participants. We tried the room together with another group of escape room enthusiasts, Existerne, and it worked really well for us to be 4+4. We also appreciate when everyone gets a fair chance to participate. The two teams must work through Stein Bagger’s lighter and darker sides before they can reunite and then collect as many millions as possible before the hour is up. The concept of the two brain hemispheres is clever, and it’s fun that the two starting rooms are identical, allowing for a race to see who cracks the code to reunite the groups first. Unfortunately, there was an error in one of the rooms that forced us to skip a puzzle, so the competitive element was missing during our experience. Enter the Mind was spacious enough that being 8 people didn’t feel crowded—quite the opposite. We’ve found that some rooms are solved rather quickly, so it was great that this one had a secondary goal once the main time challenge was completed: finding all the millions. We only managed to find the last ones with 5–6 minutes remaining. The puzzles were well-designed, and cross-group collaboration was key throughout. The only thing we missed was a clear indication that all the millions had been found. There was no fanfare or even a stop in the timer, so we had to count twice to be sure we had everything, and then wait for the time to run out so the door would open.
