Beat the clock and save Gotham City once and for all. Gotham City, a metropolis plagued by crime and injustice, is in dire need of heroes. In response to the escalating threats, Batman has initiated a new Gotham City Guardian training program. You have been carefully selected for the program to attempt a new and intense training exercise that includes stopping a training device Batman planted in the heart of Gotham City filled with a non-harmful chemical compound designed to mimic a legitimate chemical leak without the fatality. The device is fitted with a countdown clock that will release the gas in exactly 60 minutes after your mission start time, so you'll have to work quickly.

73 escape rooms

In desperate need of a refurbishment. Several mechanical failures hurt the experience including a malfunctioning drawer containing puzzle information; the computer needed to solve this puzzle also had to be rebooted by the game masters. The room felt way too cramped for a group of 6. We could also hear another group doing another room next to ours, so there was no real sense of immersion. While there are definitely Batman related things / visuals in this room, the IP feels almost like an afterthought. There are far superior rooms out there. This one isn’t worth the time or money.

Gameplay

Technical issues ruined what is otherwise an average room.

Atmosphere

The Batman theme feels like an afterthought; at no point do you ever feel like you’re in Gotham. Being able to hear the group in the room next to this one was annoying and broke immersion.

Difficulty

Medium

It’s a medium challenge made harder by mechanics that either don’t work, or not receiving audio or visual clues that supporting information has appeared on a computer screen in the first section of the experience. Because you can’t move on until you solve everything in the first area, there’s no reason to think you need to return to it.

Was anything broken?

Yes

Several mechanical failures led to our group being confused / not understand puzzles; one of the computers had to be rebooted.

A very expensive room for few puzzles that often didn't make sense. Not worth the time or money.
