Totally let down by this room. We did every room they offer and this is the second time we tried this one since they said they revamped it and made changes. There were multiple parts of the room that did not work and they knew about the problems. The game master didn’t really pay attention to us and give the clues or let us know that things were malfunctioning. Worst part is, is that they say they pride themselves on their customer service and care about everyone’s experience but when we asked for a refund and/or a gift card they refused. This use to be my favorite place but I’ve been very let down.

We have done every escape room at this place. We have also done some of their escape rooms twice, and we were the first customers to do their new Mockbuster room when it opened (the day it opened), and beat it! We absolutely loved Cloak & Dagger, and we ranted and raved about it to everyone including the other escape room places we've gone to about how much we loved it here. Unfortunately, that changed this week. We did their StarShip room in their old location months and months ago. We beat it, but with only minutes to spare because there was an issue or two with the room, that led to us taking a few more minutes. The game master confirmed it that day that we did everything right, but something just did not open up. Fast forward to last month, we did their Mockbuster room the night it opened up. We beat it, and they asked for our feedback on that room, and for any feedback on other rooms that we have, and to come back and do their "revamped" StarShip when it gets moved over and fixed in their new building. This weekend we did it. It was terrible. Right off the bat, a door opened by itself and we were so confused. Come to find out, this door was opened by a malfunction in the second room, but we had no idea so we spent 10-15 minutes in the second room trying to solve a puzzle, not knowing that we were doing it right but the door already opened, so after 10-15 minutes the game master tells us we can stop on that puzzle since it malfunctioned. Secondly, to get through to the second room, the puzzle needing to get through - we had the correct answer on 2 separate occasions but it did not open the door. I even confirmed this after the room. They had to override the door. In the second room, there were at least 2 puzzles that were broken/not working properly, and 1 which is way too finicky and requires you to put something into a slot, but it has to be put in at a certain way. I was told they are reengineering this so it's not so finicky. The employee told us the room was rushed so they could move it, and they're working on fixing a lot of things. It clearly showed with all of the issues. We called to speak to a manager days ago, and were told we would get a call back yesterday, we never did. We called today, and were denied any refund, and were told the employee is probably getting fired today because she was already on her way out. For a company who told us they "pride themselves on customer service", this was the most insane reaction we've ever experienced. The room has issues, and all they needed to do was take the feedback we gave that night, and maybe even gave us a call back, but instead they deflected and lost a customer.

This room is extremely convoluted and illogical. Please don’t do this unless you like making enormous leaps in logic and too many puzzles that make it impossible for a normal sized group to finish without several hints.

I would not advise trying this room with less than 4 people and 6 would be better We have escaped 47/50 rooms and this was one we did not. There was so much to do and some puzzles needed us to both look at it and that sucked up too much time. If we had a bigger group it may have been fun but we found it frustrating.
We found this room very confusing

I’ve done a lot of futuristic rooms, and this is definitely one of the coolest! The atmosphere is very cool. This is their hardest game and it’s definitely challenging and there is A LOT to do. I wouldn’t say any of the puzzles feel like clues are necessary for, they all make sense however if you get caught up on something it will definitely bite you time wise. This room has really good indicators of which puzzles you’re on which is so helpful for game flow. Overall we did really like this game, but some of the tech was definitely a little inconsistent. It all worked but you just have to make sure you wiggle EVERYTHING. If you think something isn’t working give it a wiggle before moving on to trying a different solution. There was also a “free find” thing that we didn’t get right away because it felt like it was locked and we didn’t want to pry anything open, but when we asked for help the game master told us it was meant to open so we got there in the end. All in all, good game!

Amazing theme and effects , but too many puzzles and too convoluted to do in 60 minutes. Better suited as an 80-90 minute room.

Very immersive set. Puzzles are on the more difficult side but never felt unfair. We solved as a pair but there were times when multiple groups could have been parallel solving. We did not experience the impossible to open boxes described in other reviews so some issues may have been fixed. Overall a very fun room

What an utter disappointment. Cloak and Dagger has so many great rooms, but this one hurt me. So, the atmosphere is GREAT, it's like visiting TOS Enterprize, but that's where the awesomeness ends. So, the puzzles are convoluted to say the least. My husband is big, and isn't a weak guy. He pulled on one of the boxes hanging out the wall and it wouldn't open, so we figured it was magnetic and would open after a puzzle... Nope! The GM came in after and said that the box sticks. She dropped all her weight on it and the stupid thing wouldn't open, so.my husband tried. He had to break a sweat to get it open, and of course there was the three missing puzzle pieces we needed. Next the tribbles... The GM told us that the owner didn't like people escaping his rooms so easy, so he dimmed the lights on the dribbles, and replaced several of them with blended colors, making them nearly impossible to tell apart. Honestly, I still reccomend all other Cloak and Dagger rooms, but this one I can't
The GM talked down to us, it was disappointing.

This review makes me really sad to write, but this room is probably one of my top 3 worst rooms I've ever play. The ambience is amazing, and the puzzles that work are good, but the ones that don't are just terrible. Red hearings are the worst aspect of any escaperoom, if your puzzles are challenging, don't toss in red hearings. Not only did the GM admit there were two in this room, she told us that the owner wanted to push the solve ratio down, so he purposefully added elements to a puzzle that were meant to make people fail. Not to.mention two boxes being broken, and the pointless clues given by the gm, just made this room so terrible from a company that is one of my favorites in my area.
Broken puzzles and clues speficially meant to mislead the player to better their failure ratio.
It felt like being on the actual bridge of a starship, you know which one!!!
This GM was poor and kept blaming everything we didn't like on the owner.

I'd like to give this expert, but the puzzles are literally designed to be unsolvable, which is just a bad sign for a room.

Two of the "easy open drawers" that were suppose to open at a touch (no lock on them) required the GM to grunt with the effort to get it open
