This game would be rated a B+. Several great features, but some disappointing elements at play too. Would recommend if you want to experience something novel, creative, and different. There were some fun puzzles.

The company accused us (two experienced players over the age of 40, we also design escape rooms) breaking a window. The room had a sliding window that apperantly slid back (to a closed position) AFTER we left the room. Since we were the last group that played, owner said it must have been you that broke it and wanted to charge $250. It took an hour or so to concinve the owners that we had nothing to do with the issue. Later they agreed that they have no evidence of us doing anything wrong. We don’t plan to go back. I would not recommend this place.
GM read the description of the game from her phone. She was not prepared, did not let us know how to ask for hints.

There was a folder with clues that looked very old, could be renewed. Possibly faulty window. Might even be dangerous if not fixed.

The Gift is a great game with some pretty awesome puzzles. The story is a little harder to latch on to compared to their other rooms that each have quite engaging narratives. The set was cool, but it didn’t blow me away. Red Door gives digital note pads for note taking, but we were not provided a pencil/pen with our pad and had to play the game without one. Even upon announcing to the cameras that we needed a pencil, nobody answered. I’ve visited this location on multiple occasions, and it always seems like our game master is not really paying attention. There was also a tool box that was broken. Overall, I enjoyed my experience. My fairly experienced team of 4 was able to secure the 2nd place spot on the leaderboard, which was pretty cool! I still think Prison Break & Fair Game are more fun, but I’d play this one over Confinement, which was underwhelming.
