A classic tale of murder on the Orient Express, reimagined. The culprit of a grisly crime is still on board your train. It’s a race against time to piece the clues together before the train reaches its destination. The case is perplexing, and you must solve it quickly so the assailant does not escape, in Exit The Game.

I love mysteries, and Dead Man of the Orient Express was part escape game, part murder mystery. I’m also a fan of Agatha Christie and Hercule Poirot so the references were fun. The puzzles aren’t actually too super hard or crazy, given the box’s 4/5 difficulty rating. Though, as always, your mileage will vary depending on how familiar you are with EXIT games and puzzles. The actual mystery and sleuthing takes a while, which is probably why this is considered hard. The mystery itself was also the most memorable part. Nearly all the puzzles are intuitive, and nothing felt annoying to do. Definitely in my upper half of experiences from the series!

The Exit Game delivers on many levels. 1) Range of Difficulties 2) inexpensive for a group 3) Take Home fun 4) well designed 5) high quality This stay at home option for obsessed escapists is definitely a great option. It’s a great option for large families (that suffer the burden for the entire rooms price). It also build in a scoring mechanism for time and hints that penalizes you so it keeps the escapists honest.
