A race against time into the dark heart of the jungle. Will you find the treasure before any other greedy seekers? Mexico City, 1948. The Aztec people believe that long ago the eye of their sun god, Huitzilopochtli, was cast into a great lake, showing them where to build their empire. The eye, if it was ever considered to be more than a myth, was presumed lost during the Spanish Conquest, but recent expeditions in Mexicoβs southern jungles seem to imply that it is, indeed, real β and was purposefully hidden from the invading Spanish! Of course, it is not the literal eye of a god, but a huge yellow diamond of a kind rarely found in the Americas. It has taken months to find the place, but the pyramid which is believed to hold the gem is behind a cleverly sealed door. Itβs up to you to find the diamond and see it is placed safely in the Museum of Mexico. But you must hurry, a cadre of Russian treasure seekers is on the way, hoping to steal the diamond for their own profit. You must not let that happen; the Eye of the Sun God belongs to Mexico!

This is an enjoyable room. Fun theming and story. In the first room some ok puzzles and one very obtuse one (which is the same puzzle as in the other review, they really need to signpost this very early puzzle). Great GM, good with hints and helping when she saw we were stuck. The room has a great Indiana Jones feeling to it. The third room relied too much on a certain type of basic puzzle. Nice physical props and set pieces, as always at Escape Hunt. Overall an average Escape Hunt room with solid theming and okay puzzles.
