Loved the room, even though it was more puzzle forward than narrative driven. Gorgeous set. The puzzles were cleverly aligned with the secrets and techniques of magicians, and though they were harder than the other three rooms we did here, they were all mostly fair. The only puzzle that was the exception was one where hearing was required… I thought perhaps it was an old(er) person thing, but my 16-year-old son also had difficulty. Turning the volume up would not detract from any of the core mechanisms involved in solving. The ending undercut the drama the room had been building. After an hour of excellent sets, lighting, and sound design, as well as clever puzzle integration, it was a let down to arrive at conclusion as flippant and idiomatic as this one. If I’m being generous, I would say the ending was consistent with what we learn about the character of the magician, but in a room that did so many things with beauty and elegance, I hoped for more. We were a team of two and needed to use the hint system a few times because there was a fair amount to do and time was running short, but i think a team of four could do it without problem. A couple notes about hints: 60 to Escape attempts to monetize them when booking, letting you know you only get six for the room, but offers ((for $15) to let you buy an unlimited amount. Even in this room, we never needed to use all of them. Their hints are extremely refined and useful at nudging you in the right direction. We were also told since we booked multiple rooms (4), we had an unlimited amount , and our game masters never mentioned the limited number. Nonetheless, the number of hints you have remaining are on the screen, and I could see this being something that distracts from the fun, especially for new players or players who might feel it’s more of a money grab.

This one is my favorite I think, or maybe tied with Cheesie’s. Lot’s of great magic themed puzzles!
Good flow, and lots of puzzles that can be worked on simultaneously. Almost overwhelming at first actually.
Set was great and immersive, even though it was just one large room and a hallway. It was very well themed.
Staff was great!

Nothing was really novel, but it was a solid room with great puzzles. I think I liked the puzzles overall the most in this room out of all of them.
Well, the plot maybe was a little lacking. Lol I dunno, we were stealing something.
Hard
Medium to hard. We used a few hints, but a couple of them we were on the cusp of figuring out already.
High tech
Mostly tech. Plenty of lights and sounds and annoying alarms. Actually, I hated the alarm experience. If loud noises and lights that you can’t turn off until you solve a puzzle gives you anxiety, this room might not be for you.

This room is probably good for a lot of people.
Not scary
Anxiety triggering at one point, but not really scary.

Pretty difficult room. Recommend at least 4 people.
Loved how many of the puzzles can be done simultaneously. Definitely recommend larger group for this.
Somewhat
One puzzle requires some very precise movements.

This was our 3rd room at this location and we have loved them all. This one was very fun. Lots of puzzles to work on simultaneously for our experience group of 4. Theming is perfect as always with 60 to Escape. Puzzles were creative and fit with the room very well. I recommend taking some Advil before you arrive— can be very loud.

Super immersive and just absolutely gorgeous room. There’s just some really fun and clever puzzles that make you feel really accomplished and proud after you solve them.

Excellent theming. Love that a magic themed room actually uses common magic tricks in the puzzles!

The defining feature of Magic Heist is the theming of the entire experience. The quality of the set and the puzzles are top notch. Even when some of the puzzles frustrated us when we knew what to do (or thought we knew what to do) but couldn’t quite get there, solving them was very satisfying each time. Not once did a solution seem dumb or poorly thought out. Overall, this was a great experience for experienced escapers.
It was a generally nonlinear progression, but once we were able to figure out what we were looking for, it took a more linear approach. There was a clear storyline connecting it all.
The theming was top notch with very impressive effects and quality.

I’ve done a lot of rooms, and this was one of the hardest I’ve completed. Not difficult because it was poorly designed, but difficult because the puzzles were unique.

I was a bit disappointed in this room as I felt that a lot of the “puzzles” weren’t puzzles at all but rather a live game of eye-spy. Many if not most of the puzzles were more a reflection of your observational skills rather than your ability to solve puzzles. Some puzzles were time suckers either because it was difficult to hear or see, figuring out which door opened after solving, or because other parts of it were so distracting it took time to realize the answer part. I think that’s just lazy game making personally. The set was phenomenal though!
I wasn’t impressed with the puzzles and how sometimes it was linear and sometimes not.
Ok at best, didn’t seem to into it
