My favorite actors for comedy purposes 😂

The actors had the most fun and personality in this section. Most talked in squeaks and noises but a memorable one rode around on a rascal heckling people. I generally think clowns are plaid out but this was adorable.

A good idea to exploit people’s fears of clowns and creepy carnivals. I didn’t see many scare actors over here, but maybe it will be better later in the season?

Prepare to be spooked. The Knott’s actors are waiting around every turn and know how to pop out at just the right moment to make you jump. The set design is highly detailed and designed for terror at Knott’s Scary Farm. A few cons: the mazes are all very loud with sound effects and music that do little to add to the ambience of fear but do make you want to get out quicker. There is high amount of gore in most of the mazes. We generally prefer haunts that rely on spine-chilling creepiness rather than ritual slaughter. But to each their own. The scare zones are where the scares are at! So definitely head there with your scaredy cat friends.

My second favorite scare zone at Knott’s in terms of theming, but definitely my favorite in performances. All clowns are so in character, they’re terrifying, they’re hilarious, and you could just spend tons of time walking back and fourth through this area, having more and more great interactions! Every scare actor at Knott’s is incredible, but the clowns are truly the best of the best. You can tell they’re having just as much fun as the people they’re scaring, and I really hope this zone stays at Knott’s for many years to come! Also, to any scary clown girls, can I have your number?

Carnevil blends comedy and horror effectively. The playful scare actors here love to interact with people and entertain with their zany antics. It's always fun to watch a clown chase down a hapless victim. The music, characters, and props pair perfectly with its location.

Always a fun scare zone. Silly and Mischievous clowns doing unique scares at every turn. Love them and I hope they never go away. I wish they would bring back a clown maze.

CarnEvil was amazing this year! The scare zone has improved with props and decor. The boardwalk area is a huge concrete landscape and in previous years, there wasn’t any extra decor to make it feel like a carnival. I was overjoyed seeing bits and pieces of decor scattered throughout Carnevil this year! The Scareactors were everywhere and you could tell they were having fun with the Guest. There was only one thing that was missing and that was fog!

I could watch them all night! Most rambunctious crew in the park every year!!! Strong characters. Strong scares.
