Permanently Closed - Enter the Puzzling Plays Board Game Cafe for an unforgettable night of competition, comradery, and challenges! Revisit old favourites in a new light and battle it out on the boards. Join us fellow board gamers, but beware: Everything is not as it seems! The infamous, world-renowned board game designer, known only as the Game Master, has a vendetta against classic board games. They snuck into the cafe and altered the games to unleash their wrath. They’re not evil, per se; they merely want to restore their craft to its highest form, but had to resort to a nefarious path because no one would listen. Alarmed, you find yourself locked in the cafe and need to navigate the physical confines of the Game Master’s mind by conquering the games as the clock ticks. Your goal is simple: Find the Game Master’s most prized possession and escape through their favourite pastime. Don’t let their reputation and charisma fool you though: Fail to escape, and you’ll be trapped forever!

Initially fun, but a number of solutions were unclear - and then it was unclear which lock the solution needed to be input into. (So not only ‘well it could be A or B,’ but, ‘it could be A or B, and could go into this lock, or this lock, or this lock…’) The concept was great, but execution could use some work.

This room was a nice lock and key style room with a tonne of things to do! Based on some of our favourite board games, it is a room packed full of nostalgia and is a fun night out for a couple or a family!
