2024 October 12th Review draft for Field of Terror in East Windsor, New Jersey I am going to dock one star because of the lack of sufficient information on Field of Terror's website. Wait time: At 8pm, on a Sunday night before the Columbus Day Monday holiday, we waited approx 15-30 minutes tops before getting in the ride. The longest wait was the Manor at ~30 minutes. We did not purchase any VIP ticket upgrades. Advanced ticket purchase: 10/17/24 Onwards, it is recommended to buy tickets in advance, especially for the earlier slots. They charge $3/ticket in convenience fees , so yeah, that sucks. Things you need to know before you go: 1. You can buy your tickets at the location if it’s not a busy day and save $3 per ticket in online fees. 2. There is very limited vegetarian food unless overpriced fries, roasted corn and sweet fried and powdered elephant ears/ funnel cakes will work for you. 3. Carry cash as most food counters will charge you $3% for credit card transaction fees. 4. The burgers are reasonably priced (shocking given the trend!) at $5 each. Other items were pretty expensive for a farm. 5. Parking: Plenty of parking on-site and it is free. There are 4 scary attractions in order of scariness: 1. Most scary: Timmery Manor House, where you will be touched and grabbed. 2. Next scary: The Karnival (no actor touches you) and it is a walk-through with plenty of props and jump scares. 3. The Kornfield of Karnage (corn maze) - It had a decent number of scares but about 25% of the individual building structures were ‘abandoned’ and could have been done with more actors. The Casola Farms Halloween Corn Maze (in Marlboro, NJ) had more actors in comparison. Also, the Kornfield of Karnage is nice and long - making it totally worth it. We took over 20 minutes to complete it. 4. Mildset experience: The Haunted Hayride to Terror Town, which is basically for kids and in my opinion had way many too people on each buggy. 5. Creepy Carnival Paintball Ride attraction: I skipped this event given the huge number of negative reviews for the last few years, complaining about the lack of actors, engagement and adrenaline. Tip for the corn maze: Try to space yourselves out so that the jump scares are not revealed too early on the persons in front of you. They kinda try to manage it but you need to be aware as well. My recommended order of activities: 1, 3, 2, 4, 5. Other activities - The goat cuddle - which was an additional $5 for 5 minutes of cuddling. This was a complete waste of time as the goats didn’t really care much. Your tickets are basically a bunch of metal tokens (keep there carefully so as not to lose them) which let you enter the attractions. The coins are specific to each one and you cannot change your mind once you are inside. However, you can enter the common area, access the attractions and ask people about them before going back to the ticket counter to buy tokens for the attractions you are interested in. You can access the common area which features a DJ, larger covered eating area, and 5 food counters - burger and hot dogs, roasted corn, freshly cut french fries, sandwiches (pork, chicken, sausage, cheesesteak, wings and street tacos, many of which are ridiculously overpriced. Overall it's good and you will be satisfied. However, to give context, my gold standard for a Halloween scare experience is Sloss Fright Furnace in Birmingham, AL which is sadly now closed. The immersiveness they were able to create was mind-blowing and literally felt like you were dropped into a movie scene.

Is this haunt for children? They were very family oriented so these rating they claim they got are definitely pulled out from nowhere. Another haunt that lacks actors and not worth the money. Maybe you were once good but this time around? Definitely not
