I would give this game a sideways thumb if I could. There is nothing wrong with it, but nothing to write home about either. The set was sparse, and there was little to look at or tinker with. We found the puzzles linear and simple. If the theme is speaking to you, it may be worth a visit.

I absolutely LOVED Film Noir! I went down here for my birthday in December and not only was staff fantastic, but everything about the room was enjoyable too. I love a room with a good, strong story and Film Noir delivered on every front. This may be my favorite room ever. Bravo!

One of the better escapes I’ve done personally. Very intricate, answers its own questions, direct, and doable. Staff were fantastic and seemed to enjoy their jobs there, game was pretty greyscale, just like the theme, which is awesome. All in all, very very nice.

Gameplay

Very intricate and INCREDIBLY thought out, down to getting a paper upside down and the puzzle TELLING US to turn the paper the right way, not the GMs, not arrows. Truly impressive.

Atmosphere

Damp and dark, as an investigator’s office should be. However, one of the later sections of the escape did lose our connection with the plot in terms of immersion.

Customer service

Our GM was an absolute peach and gave us an extra few minutes when we were close to winning. We unfortunately didn’t have a lot of contact with them because the chime for their messaging system is so quiet, but it made us feel much smarter to solve *most* of it on our own. They were all for chatting it up after the escape, and we felt very cared for.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

Again, the intricacy of their puzzle solving was truly mind blowing.

Story

Can’t remember a lot about it now, but our goal was precise and understandable.

Difficulty

Hard

Just my girlfriend and I to solve it, and it was HARD. So worth it though.

Sara was a fantastic GM, she really helped keep us immersed. This room has a LOT of puzzles, so more people is better, but we did ok with two and got some “extra time when the chief was away”. Challenging without being frustrating. Loved the theme, and was relatively easy to make connections while non-linear.

Had a good time in this room! It’s a fairly standard whodunnit room as far as atmosphere goes, but the non-linear puzzles were good and challenging. A tricky room for 2 people but we escaped with less than 2 min to go!

Gameplay

Fun private investigator theme! The non-linear clues occasionally stumped my team so we had to ask for some clues.

Atmosphere

Fairly basic room - no elaborate set but some fun audio elements

Standard but well-done whodunnit escape room. Puzzles make sense, low-tech means nothing was broken. Set design was minimal, and the small space is best suited to smaller groups. Our GM, Maverick, was energetic and responsive, which helped a lot!
