The Man From Beyond

This room was absolutely amazing. Truly immersive. Great puzzles thatade sense given the theme. Aesthetic was beautiful as was the wonderful Madame Daphne. Cannot recommend this enough

This game was amazing. The puzzles were fun, interesting, challenging, and thematic. The atmosphere was amazing and the actors never broke character even once! This one was tons of fun and made my jaw drop. I wish I could do it again

The puzzles and story were great and flowed together well. It was exciting, fun and engaged our group well. There was one special effect that our whole group thought was phenomenal. The actors did a great job and that is what brought the experience to life. I don’t any negative things to say on this one.

What can I even say that hasn’t already been said? This was a phenomenal experience from beginning to end. I have nothing negative to say. Eternally grateful that they were able to accommodate us on such short notice.

Wow. After hearing about this room for years, I was a little worried it might not live up to the hype. Summary: it did a dang good job. Note: I won’t say it’s perfect, a few things were quite worn, but the story, and the building /lobby/room were all absolutely incredible. Puzzles were solid, quite a few very satisfying ah ha moments. Actors are present and a critical part of the room; all of them did a phenomenal job. With a few special moments/interactions that absolutely made my day. Strange Bird deserves the praise and I will be among the many waiting for their next room to open its doors.

I mean, what a class act. Earns its awards in spades. This is the shift I want in escape rooms; Away from escape percentages and leaderboards and more towards amazing immersive story experiences with intriguing puzzles. Do expect of use the entire 90 minutes, you’re not going for a good time here. Very very good immersion overall and nothing major to break your flow. We ran with 2 and there was only one thing we couldn’t do physically by ourselves, but our GM was ready to help. If you’re lucky enough to be close to this room, it’s worth it.

I don’t even know how to describe this experience but if I had to try, transcendental is the word I would choose. Escape rooms are designed to entertain. But this experience was designed to transcend, to reflect, to heal. This is probably the first room that I cried in. Deeply moving story and the puzzles were on point. Although, by the end of it, you’ll realize that the puzzles were the story all along. Strange Bird Immersive, thank you for this special moment. I will cherish these 90 minutes with the people in that room forever.

Some escape rooms impress. Some challenge. And then there are the rare few that transcend... games that don’t just test your logic but grip your emotions, that don’t just immerse you but make you care. This was my 100th escape room, a milestone I wanted to mark with something exceptional, and what I found here was beyond. The atmosphere, immersion, and puzzles were intricate, seamless, and alive. The acting was at a level rarely seen in escape rooms... so committed it felt more like stepping into a film. But what I didn’t anticipate, what I couldn’t have anticipated, was the emotional gravity of it all. By the end, I’ll admit it, I was in tears. We flew to Houston just for this, endured numerous delays on our way, and yet, standing there in the final moments of the game, it was worth every second. There are great escape rooms, and then there are the ones that shift what is possible. This was the latter, and it was breathtaking.

An amazing mix of immersive theater with a substantial and challenging escape room within. Story connected so well with every puzzle, which was not too challenging to an experienced team. Easy to split up and explore different parts of the room then come back together (not linear at all). Required actually working together to solve things (communication a must!). Each puzzle felt connected to the overall story, with acting rounding up much more of the story behind just the puzzles. Loved the experience, wish more places were designed like this instead of just one or the other.
