Nevermore

It was SUCH a good time. It felt truly like such a passion project, the attention to detail was so amazing!!! Would definitely recommend playing!!!

OMG and WOW! My wife and I have done over 100 escape rooms all around the country and Nocturne is now one of the tops we have done. We drove about 3 hours to get there and it was more than worth the trip. Tom and Nicole have figured out the Secret formula to escape room success: great people + great themes/decor + great stories + great puzzles = GREAT TIME! No stress of a clock really allows you to just enjoy the adventure of Nevermore. No super high-tech stuff going on in either room. Just amazing decor, awesome sounds/music and atmosphere plus a few spots of live acting to really add to the mood of Nevermore. Puzzles made sense, were fun and fit the theme of the room. If you get the chance you must visit Nocturne.

This Poe inspired room absolutely hits the mark. From the set design to the puzzles this room maintains the immersion all the way through. The room focuses more on the experience and the vibe of the room rather than having super difficult puzzles but the room itself makes you want to slow down and just exist in the atmosphere.

This is a work of art. No other words needed.

A wonderful immersion experience. The moment you walked in it felt like you were transported to the dark and stormy world of Edgar Alan Poe. The puzzles did a great job of incorporating props so you interacted with everything in the room but filled with details so that with keen observation you could find where they linked to other items in the room. I got so fully involved in the world they created that when we solved the last puzzle I was little sad to go back to the real world. My crew amd I had a great time and are looking forward to going back and trying put the Ripper when our schedule allows!

My husband and I did both rooms at Nocturne Adventures, and they were both top tier! We both were so appreciative of how much love was put into Nevermore. My husband loves Edgar Allan Poe, so this was a dream come true. I don’t know too much about Poe myself, but you don’t have to have the knowledge to enjoy the room! The owners were personable and so kind. Would HIGHLY recommend taking a trip to experience both rooms!!

I played Nevermore in October and am just getting around to leaving a review—on the day TERPECA results came out and Nevermore made the list!! 🙌 Nicole and Tom are so deserving of the honor. Nevermore transported me to Poe’s world, I loved every second of it. The artistry is stunning and the puzzles flowed nicely and made sense in the setting/story. Nicole and Tom’s experience in the haunt world really comes through in the best possible way (impressive since this isn’t a “horror” room). And, they’re amazing hosts to boot. Worth the trip to play. Can’t wait for whatever they come up with next!

Nocturne Adventures is a must do-if you’re even close to Hickory, NC, make your way there, you won’t be disappointed!

This room was amazing. The second I walked in I could tell the amount of love and effort put into the room. Every puzzle made sense and fit the time period perfectly. The set design was extremely detailed and mesmerizing to look at. Tom and Nicole were super nice to talk to and you could tell just how passionate they were about the room.

Our experience with Nevermore felt like stepping directly into a cinematic world! The pacing of the story, the way each beat unfolded, and the beautifully choreographed ambient music created a sense of momentum that never let up. Every interaction in the room worked flawlessly! No technical hiccups, no immersion‑breaking moments, just a seamless, fully realized narrative from start to finish. The room is packed with both grand gestures and subtle details that showcase exceptional craftsmanship. You can feel the creators’ talent in every element: the storytelling, the lighting design, the soundscape, the set construction, and the overall aesthetic vision. All elements of immersive design came together more cohesively than hundreds of other escape rooms we’ve experienced. Afterward, we had the chance to meet Nicole and Tom, the minds behind Nevermore, and it immediately made sense why the experience felt so polished and distinctive. Their background in haunted attractions and video game development clearly informs their work, and their passion for immersive entertainment shines through in every choice they’ve made. They were warm, generous, and genuinely excited to share their unique visions with players. I’ve done hundreds of escape rooms and rarely feel compelled to write reviews, but this one absolutely deserves it. We feel incredibly lucky to have stumbled upon this gem and grateful that Nicole and Tom are sharing their artistry and unique vision with the public.
