Escape Code is the best escape room in Branson, and one of the 3 best we've ever played anywhere. Unfortunately, we played "Revenge" on THE LAST DAY it was open (fortunately, we get to play its replacement the next time we're in Branson). I won't go too in-depth other than to say that Escape Code did it again with this game. There were A LOT of puzzles with a lot of locks, and we had a great time. If you see this game elsewhere (I don't know if they share/sell their rooms) I highly recommend you play it.
Escape Code incorporated a lot of different types of puzzles into this room. It wasn't quite linear but we were able to focus in on the final clues as we solved more and more puzzles.
The set and props were completely immersive. There was a large variety of puzzles, which made this room a lot of fun.
Escape Code staff is always helpful, passionate, expert, and welcoming. Our game master was on top of a broken piece of equipment and threw in an extra hint when they saw us get slowed down.
Particularly interesting or different
No
There wasn't anything innovative but it was still A LOT OF FUN.
The game had a "Saw" feel to it complete with videos and a moral choice at one point. The set fully supported the storyline.
The challenge came with the number of clues and the fact that there were so many puzzles and locks to solve. One answer could have opened more than one lock with the non-linear solution. It kept us on our toes and made for an enjoyable challenge.
The game was on the high tech end of mechanical. Most puzzles were mechanical with a few tech surprises.
We played with three but could have used an extra brain at times.
The game was dark and a little scary with the "Saw" vibe.
...due to the theme, and some of the videos.
Because we were playing the room on the last day, they most likely let some long-term fixes go. We had one safe that didn't work (with a potential 5-minute lock-out after 3 incorrect inputs). However, our game master anticipated the challenge upcoming, and during our discussion prior to the third input paused our game, came in with the workaround (a key) and got us into the safe with only a minor interruption.
