Permanently Closed - The year is 1886. You and your notorious gang of outlaws were captured while robbing the St. Elmo bank! You all have been sitting in jail, plotting your escape! It's 11:00 a.m., however, and you have to meet the judge at noon! But, one of your gang members that wasn't captured, has caused a distraction on the outskirts of town! This has lured away the Sheriff and all of his deputies! You have one hour to break out of jail, or else, it's high noon!

I went with a group of 5 and we had a blast! No pun intended ;) I loved the interactive elements in the beginning.

I'm a sucker for old westerns and wanted to give this a try.  I enjoyed the start of the cells and later on, there were some unique puzzles that we haven't seen before in an escape room! Can't wait to see what others they have to come up with soon!

It's hard for me to recommend this room to anyone other than a group of two with some time and money to burn.

You begin with a split start. In my opinion if you're going to split up the group you should have a good justification for doing so. While a prison is a natural narrative reason to split up players, the gameplay that resulted was brief and dull. Once you break out of your cells, there felt like there was very little to do. We played with four players and I found myself standing around looking at the sparse scenery half the time. We got caught up on a needlessly complicated conversion puzzle for a while and somehow still managed to break the room's record by over 6 minutes. 

The final puzzle is spelled out for you from the second you get into the main room, lacking any sense of climax. At the very least it would be nice for this final piece of the game to be gatekept in someway so players don't have access to it right away or know exactly what is going to happen with it.

I really enjoyed this room. Some of my group thought that 4 people was too many for the amount of puzzles in this room.

This would be a good 2 person room!
We went with 4 people and it felt like too many.
