Arr, matey! Can you beat the sunset curse before it’s too late? Captain Goldbeard has spent years voyaging the seas in hopes of acquiring treasures beyond his wildest dreams. But one night, many moons ago, the Captain and his crew landed themselves in troubled water embarking on a quest where few others dare go, aboard an abandoned ship laden with treasure, known as ‘The Soul Catcher’. You only have one hour to break the curse before the sun sets beyond the horizon or you will be left prisoner aboard The Soul Catcher for eternity—and with no escape! Do you have what it takes to find the hidden treasure and beat the deadly sunset curse or will you become the next prisoner of The Soul Catcher?

Gameplay was decently fun, though a few things held it back. It rides the line between a thumbs up and a thumbs down—most players will probably enjoy it enough, but it wasn’t a standout. The atmosphere had a solid pirate theme, with some cool staging elements, but parts felt worn down or in disrepair. The mix of mechanical puzzles and random tech occasionally threw off the immersion. Shoutout to our GM, who managed a smooth start despite juggling multiple groups. Biggest gripe: the hint system. We asked for guidance and got flat-out answers instead—sometimes without even asking. All hints came as generic on-screen text, no voice, and clearly not tailored to our group. That took a bit of the fun out of it.
Pretty fun. A fair number of things were less than ideal. Borderline between a thumbs up and a thumbs down. Most will probably enjoy it well enough though.

Again. Almost a thumbs down but ok overall. Some of the staging was great, some clearly worn and in a bit of disrepair. Good overall pirate vibe, so on-theme there. Kind of an odd mix of mechanical puzzles and a bit of technology that threw off the vibe a little.

Props to our GM for getting us into the room and started efficiently while balancing another team arriving at the same time.

Some poor design choices convoluted some of the puzzles, and one particular mechanical component was getting a bit worn, so detracted from the overall experience. But overall was appropriately challenging.

One crawling experience. Though if with a group could be bypassed after another puzzle is solved, but can’t experience that puzzle in the process.

Solid room. Had a good amount of thematic interesting puzzles. Kept us involved room os smaller so not recommended for large groups. We were a group of 2 and it was perfect
Attendants were rushed threw us into the room with little pointers or directions.

The room theme was fairly cool and the technology was decently well executed, but a few elements didn’t work properly, and the game master gave us way too many hints.
