An interesting take on the Unlock! series of escape room tabletop games. What’s most interesting is that as you are an LA detective in the 60s, there is a phone system in the app that lets you type in keywords to follow leads - think Sherlock Holmes or Her Story. It’s a little clunky, and because of how the game works, we ended up with lots of cards that we weren’t supposed to have yet. It ended up being a mess and made the flow unintuitive. There were also red herrings, which the game warns you about too. So while I did like the investigative portions, especially the parts toward the end, it’s not the best Unlock! game and certainly not recommended for beginners.
