The rooms at Lara’s labyrinth are always well done in terms of looks- high tech set and RFID technology and custom made puzzles/locks. My only complaint is the staffing. I feel like the staff overly babies the players. I always try to let them know that I do not want hints unless I beg for them (and usually we do not unless we have been stuck for 20 minutes). I also let them know that we are seasoned escape room enthusiasts. However each time the staff repeatedly either comes into the room to interrupt gameplay or calls over the speaker because they think we need a hint. In this case my friends and are we’re only mildly stuck but I am confident with a few more minutes we would have worked out the puzzle for ourselves when the game master spoke to us over the radio to give us an unsolicited hint. If we were running out of time, maybe this would be warranted, however, we were probably only 30 minutes in? This is my biggest complaint. Overall, room and puzzles are good. How the staff runs the room- not good.

Really cool set looks wise- but tech wise and puzzle wise it’s lacking. I think if your there and want to knock out the whole place - maybe do it- but they’re making a new similar themed room so I’m sure the wait is best for that.

Gameplay

The flow was very scattered which can be fun and fine- but very challenging when the game doesn’t have much to physically touch (that you can see at least). Very few actual puzzles and more putting confusing information onto a wall.

Atmosphere

They have literal sand on the ground and honestly- thats super cool. Big fan of the first room- the tiny second room was a bit let down. But between the sand and the walkie talkie you use for clues- Emersive to story!

Wonderful Game Master!!!! Truly.

Was anything broken?

Yes

Apparently when we completed at the ending something fun was supposed to happen but didn’t. :/ not holding it against them though of course. Just the whole room is based on tech.

This room was slightly disappointing with the gameplay and flow. The puzzles are very finicky and you have to complete the actions exactly in a very specific way or else you can’t move along. Sometimes a bit confusing on why they didn’t unlock the first time doing it correctly.

Set is nice and feels legit but the puzzles are lacking and the game is driven by one central prop. Makes it near impossible not to alienate group members.

Gameplay

Gameplay was ok but could have used a couple more puzzles and most puzzles rely on one central piece so large teams would be challenging to get everyone involved.
