La Taberna

An absolutely delightful game! Story, characters, set, acting, puzzling are all A+ grade quality! (The designer of Londium had a significant influence on part of this set and it is amazing!) A not-to-be-missed experience. My #1 of all the 30 games I’ve played in Barcelona.

Fantastic experience featuring two actors who guide you through the story with lots of passion and enthusiasm. The pre-recorded texts were less convincing and especially in the end scene hard to understand. But apart from the recorded parts, I loved the experience a lot. It’s a very story-driven linear adventure, thus there are a lot of story-based tasks, not really any logical puzzles. We had a lot of fun with the actors in character which in the end lead to us staying quite a lot longer in the room than the official time slot. Still never felt rushed through or not given too little time to explore in new situations.

If you are looking for complex, mind-bending riddles that will make your head hurt, this isn't the room for you. The puzzles are on the simpler, more traditional side, and there is nothing crazy or high-tech about the gameplay itself. But the vibe? Unmatched. The atmosphere in there is completely unique—it truly feels like you’ve stepped right into a real, old-school tavern. The set design is incredibly immersive, and the whole environment interacts with you in a way that just puts a massive smile on your face. We spent the entire hour laughing, high-energy, and having the absolute best time. The Verdict: What it lacks in puzzle complexity, it more than makes up for in pure, unadulterated entertainment. If you want a unique atmosphere and a genuinely hilarious hour out with friends in Lisbon, you have to try it!

What a fun time! The experience keeps surprising and adding more and more fun. I especially enjoyed the interaction with the two excellent actors. Great sets, fun puzzles, so much to do. I left dusty, smiling, with a heart full of joy.

La Taverna plays at a scale that's genuinely hard to believe. Two actors anchor the experience with warmth, humor, and real improvisational skill. I genuinely found this to be the best part: the two we had were so amazing, and they were doing it in a SECOND language! The puzzles are thematically cohesive and never fight the setting, though they didn't push us very hard. Sound design is the room's weakest link and holds it back from the heights its ambition deserves. Still an excellent room with standout performances. Definitely work playing, 100%. Don't miss.

9.8/10 La Taberna is hard to put into words. The best way I can explain it is…exponential? From how the game starts you truly don’t understand the immense adventure you are about to embark on. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger and right when you think that’s all of the tricks they have up their sleeves, they wow you again. The set design is unbelievable. If you see it, it will be put to use. The puzzles are great. Fun, quick, witty, multilayered. All within theme of the world Experiencity has created. Prepare yourself for outstanding acting and hilarious interactions. What a privilege to be able to experience this outstanding game.

The last game of our trip, and a highly rated TERPECA room. I loved parts of the game, but didn’t love it all. The beginning and end is what makes this game for me. The middle is fun, but has some weird puzzles, and weird design choices. As many have noted, it’s impossible to hear anything in the last room, so you end up with a bit of an anticlimactic ending. It’s weird that they have not changed this, as I’m pretty sure many people must have told them it’s not possible to hear anything. 
The game is saved by the first 20 or so minutes, as they are some of my favorite minutes in any game. The ending is (except for the sound) also fantastic, and I did enjoy my whole experience, even though I didn’t love it all.

La Taberna was just great. It had a little of everything, snarky actor interactions, varied and diverse puzzles, verticality in set design, large, expansive sets and smaller, intimate settings. Fun physical effects to add to the immersion. Puzzles were intuitive and satisfying to solve, with that 'aha!' Moment. Large scale set pieces and design were a joy to experience. An easy recommendation to anyone visiting Barcelona. We did have a bit of trouble hearing things in a certain room, I must say. But overall a fantastic experience.

There was a lot to explore, and the sets were beautiful. What they have built here is quite lovely. There is also one moving mechanism here that I have seen in a few rooms, but they have done it the best. However, the audio at times was impossible to hear - in general there was lots of loud music or ambient noise. Especially in the final room. The puzzles were varied, and for the most part were really fun. There were times when we could split up and explore and solve, and there were times where collaboration was required. The actor interactions were just ok for me. The start was long winded, and the actor was a bit jarring. Also, we didn’t have time to explore before we were being bossed and told us what we should do. In general I feel the hints came too quickly, when we didn’t really need them. And we finished 20 minutes early, so we were not behind. Overall it was a really great experience.

I had plenty of fun doing this experience with our 2 awesome game masters, an incredible set design and very great puzzles. Many wow moments, laughters and physical challenges part of a great experience. I highly recommend!
