If I could review just the game master “Charm”, I would. Although not enough stars in the sky would truly highlight just how unique and awesome this employee was/is. A special thanks to her and I really hope the venue appreciates what a fantastic and one-of-a-kind employee they have. Especially for an escape room game master. They make or break an experience and she is the reason we were able to leave with such a positive outlook on the entire 4 room experience.
Gameplay
It was good. A few difficult, hint-appropriate puzzles/moments but overall good.
Atmosphere
Not the most elaborate set design but well done with a few unique details I have not experienced before.
Customer service
Did all 4 rooms this venue had to offer in one day (not unusual for us). Had a different game master for each. I have commented on the great staff in each of the reviews on here, but the game master for this room, “CHARM”, at the very least deserves to be praised in a room review. I have done over 100 rooms and have never experienced such an amazing, invested, kind, patient, and just unique human! She went so far above and beyond anything we’ve ever experienced. This is a difficult room with only a few groups that have escaped. One puzzle that had me beyond stumped. After wasting at least 15 mins and still getting nowhere, I was bummed and thought I would just have to accept the failed attempt and try the room again another day. I am not a gamer that is in it to beat records or compete in any way. I just like to experience the whole room. If I fail it’s a bummer that I missed out on the rest of the room. But it happens. Well, as I sat back and accepted the failure, the timer paused and in walks “Charm”. She sat with me and explained the one puzzle!! She made sure I understood what I was missing, and then left the room and restarted the timer so I could continue!!! I was beyond shocked and so grateful! Because of her, I was able to complete the rest of the room and still escape with 3 minutes left. That was the one and only puzzle that stumped me so definitely was a make it or break it. I have NEVER had a game master willing to do this before, and part way through the time too! It was awesome because I was able to experience the whole room and actually understand all puzzles when I finished. She is one of a kind and I will never forget her! Thanks again Charm!!!
