That 80s Christmas

Second visit to Escape Wapak. My experienced group of 4 were looking forward to this room. Though I give it a 👍🏼, it isn’t an enthusiastic thumbs up. The theme and room decor were very good. Our group missed a couple easy gimmes that slows us down, but the room itself had a few flaws. A Walkman had a dead battery and between our struggles and the game-master advising us to try several different things (even though I was sure it was a battery issue-I even looked to see if it had a battery wondering if we might find a battery later), we lost another 5 minutes on just that. Not everything worked quite like it should have and we weren’t sure if we did things wrong or the challenge wasn’t working. And the audio clues were hard to decipher (poor quality). And a couple of the we figured out but didn’t know where to enter the ‘code’. Maybe on another day with everything working as it should, I could be more enthusiastic about this room…but not today.
