Back in the early days it was rumoured that the saloon owner discovered a massive nugget of gold, but tried to keep it a secret to protect his family. In mysterious circumstances he disappeared and his fortune was never found. Can you find this treasure that’s been hidden for over a century?

Gold Rush was the final installation of our Excape adventure and I must say I think we saved the best till last. As someone who is already a fan of an old west/saloon style theme this one felt like it was made for me. Fun on theme puzzles with a great use of space, I had a super great time throughout. Pretty straightforward storyline of finding the missing safe code to access the gold, classic saloon-venture type scenario. The set design was also great with a mineshaft and mine-cart to traverse through. A great time all around and my pick of the rooms at this venue. Kaja and the team were great throughout our time at Excape, definitely check them out. Yeehaw.

YEEHAW! What a great room! I honestly had such a blast in Gold Rush it was my pick of the bunch across the whole Excape venue. A really clever use of space with thematic puzzles and a goofy storyline, there’s so much to love about this one. Every solve felt engaging as we continued to uncover not just new information but fun references, easter eggs and secrets, it’s clear why this is also the owner’s personal favourite as well! A very creative physical element involving a mine cart was also a very welcome surprise which only added to the charm of everything else. Yeehaw (again). Kaja and the team at Excape were so welcoming to us all day, I strongly recommend giving their rooms a go if you’re in the Frankston area as they’re all made with so much thought and care. Yeehaw (but more so this time).
