Time is set back to the Cold War, and as crew members aboard the USS Triton, you’re right in the heart of the action. Unfortunately, it looks like the captain has gone off course, and before you know it, the missiles have been armed—and now you must stop them before the world goes up in flames. When the timer starts, you find yourself in a room lit only by a few red lights. From here, the hunt begins for the codes to disarm the missiles and prevent nuclear war. The space in the room isn’t overwhelming, and it can get warm inside, but fortunately, there’s ventilation. We recommend 2–4 players based on the available space and access to the puzzles. The puzzles tend to appeal more to practical minds. They are nicely varied and offered in good quantity and layers. In general, it’s important to remember that sometimes things aren’t as complex as they seem. A big shout-out goes to the gamemaster, who was extremely welcoming and excellent at providing constructive feedback afterward. At Escapist, we usually get thorough debriefings after the rooms, which can help clarify which types of puzzles the team finds easy or difficult. Additionally, it’s great to have a summary of what actually happened for the whole team, since not every member is involved in all solutions. The room wasn’t on the difficult side, but we were entertained. It’s not linear, so there are plenty of tasks to tackle from the start, meaning you don’t get stuck immediately. Most puzzles have multiple layers, allowing several players to participate in solving them. Finally, it’s worth mentioning that your choices in the submarine have consequences. You can’t just guess the readings, and it’s possible to lose the race to disarm the missiles! Number of nuts (max 5) Difficulty level 🌰🌰 Design 🌰🌰🌰 Scare factor 🌰 Entertainment vs price 🌰🌰🌰🌰
