Poor puzzle design in general. Several puzzles made no thematic sense, but even more unfortunate that some puzzles had red herring solutions without any guidance to how to determine the path that was preferred. Frustrating. Other puzzles were able to be bypassed with little effort due to poor gating design. Music levels were far too loud in some parts of the experience. Otherwise, the settings were quite good. Nice staff, but overall a negative room experience.

Story

The story was confusing. While seemingly straightforward when told to us, the room didn’t get us to that narrative. The advertising photos had nothing to do with the actual premise, and there were no explanations for how some puzzles connected to story.

Difficulty

Medium

The room was made difficult because of puzzles that were not clued properly and numerous red herrings. Additionally, several puzzles had easy to confuse solutions.

The puzzles in this escape room were some of the most frustrating I’ve ever done. For some puzzles, the codes to or instructions were just given to you on a sheet of paper with no thematic explanation. For others, the solution was arbitrary or clues were misleading. While the theming of the space was pretty well-done, it did not match the description online. The GM was kind to give us a little extra time, but we were pretty done with the room at that point.

It’s a disappointing room because it has potential, it’s just squandered. There is one true puzzle in the first room and, once you’ve solved that puzzle, the room tells you the solution to the next puzzle via a laminated piece of printer paper. This continues until you leave the first room. Like other reviews mentioned, I’m not sure how the puzzles beyond the first room relate to the premise. These puzzles are also an exercise in frustration as there are multiple decorations in the room that could conceivably be used to solve a lock.

Atmosphere

The theming was great. A pawn shop, an alley way. It doesn’t really fit the story of the room, though.

Really fun, while both simple and challenging at the same time. The location itself can be a little challenging to get to with all the construction on 410. Plenty of places to eat near by to make an evening or afternoon of it

The atmosphere was good, but the puzzles left me forgetting what the theme of the room was during gameplay. Nothing about each puzzle had anything to do with the other puzzles or much to do with the theme of the room. It still got a thumbs up because each individual puzzle, excluding 1, were fun. So the fact that we could still have fun makes me feel like a thumbs up is fair. Otherwise it’s not well thought out.

Gameplay

No flow, interruptions multiple times for sound clips that didn’t advance the plot, no indication for what elements mattered in the game and what didn’t.

Atmosphere

Good quality set design

Customer service

The 3 people we interacted with were pleasant but not at all knowledgeable about the puzzles….not even the game master
