EXIT: The Game - Prison Break

A really fun game from EXIT with a diverse series of puzzles that were enjoyable to solve, despite the overused “escape the prison” theme. This installment featured two unique and refreshing game mechanics that haven’t been used in any of their other boxes before. The final puzzle was particularly clever and a great way to finish. This game was on the more difficult end (as advertised on the box). If you haven’t done an EXIT: The Game box before, I’d suggest starting with a different game in the series and work your way to this one.

One of the more intensive and immersive escape games in the EXIT series! The splitting of teams (which is advertised on the box cover) is well done and requires good communication to complete well. It’s one of the reasons why I recommend a larger player count than usual. We did it with 4 family members as a Thanksgiving escape game! One puzzle changes the rules a little with the timer and is tense and super difficult. There’s no lose condition, but if you’re playing for the star score, you are in for one of the hardest challenges in the series. There are creative puzzles, especially the finale. Highly recommend this one, though be prepared for a real challenge to break into this!

A fun twist on the exit formula. Most of the puzzles are excellent and work with the well executed theme.
