In the early 1700’s on a dark and stormy night, the infamous Black Bart and his crew have set anchor and gone ashore after months at sea. You’ve heard tales that Black Bart has a treasure map of immeasurable value hidden in his quarters. His boat, the Royal Fortune, bounces angrily in the waves, beckoning you – daring you, to come aboard and find the treasure. But you know if you’re caught, walking the plank will be the last thing you do. Can you and your crew brave the storm and sneak into the captains quarters, find the map and get out before the captain and his crew return?

Small room size and prefer more rooms to explore during a 1 hour escape
Didn’t like the fact there were no separate rooms to explore

This is an ideal room for kids or first timers. However, me and my boyfriend who have at this point only done about 30 rooms before, finished this room in 20 minutes which is not particularly worth the money in my eyes. Again great for newbys but if you can handle the other rooms at this location then this will be a piece of cake. Nothing very exciting about the room but it wasnt a bad experience.

Gameplay wise, the puzzles were good, and fairly unique, but the flow was abysmal, almost every single puzzle in the room was shown to you and then used 20 minutes later after 3 more puzzles down the line you suddenly got a cipher, or a piece of the puzzle you’ve been looking for, etc… which is infuriating. Set design wise, a single room with fairly standard pirate theming. Not bad overall, solid 7.5/10.

But still a fun game, even if it felt like every other escape room.
