You’re trapped in a temple following an adventurer's trail—and finding the treasure is the only way out. Archibald Tucker was one of the greatest explorers of the 1930s. His tales of adventure were known the world over and his prized journal documented every adventure. In fact, he uncovered a treasure so rare, no man alive had seen it! But a sudden gust of wind slammed the temple door shut - sealing Tucker and his journal inside and both were never seen again. Now armed with the latest technology, your research points you to the exact whereabouts of the lost journal which holds the secrets to finding the treasure and you’ve brought all the materials essential for your adventure. However, once you’re inside, angered spirits awaken and deem you unworthy of the riches held within…Now, as a test, they grant you 60 minutes to prove your worth.

This rooms has potential to be good, but the state it was in when we played it was truly terrible and infuriating. Multiple broken puzzles that led to massive frustration and delays, one puzzle that was actually unsolvable, not sure if that was do to being in disrepair or not. Truly the most irritated I have been in a room. They need to repair this room before allowing anyone to play it.

What I liked: - the set was cool & immersive - there were some physical/tactile puzzles that I enjoyed a lot What I disliked: - this was a small space. 6 people was far too many and we were constantly bumping into each other. I would recommend a team of 3. - there were too many puzzles based on translating symbols to letters (hieroglyphics) - despite deliberately asking to not be given unsolicited clues, we were still given one - some of the props seemed pretty worn down and overused What I’ve learned about Escapology: I’ve now played at the locations in Bethesda and Atlanta. There are similar issues at both locations. Clues sent on the TV screen are always too lengthy and only appear for a few seconds - not enough time to reread and fully digest the info. Escapology also has a tendency to include LONG messages that are entirely superfluous - journals with a dozen entries, notes with unnecessary story-building info, etc. This is literally just a cheap mechanism to waste our time. Despite my nitpicking, I’m still giving this game a thumbs up. This was my grandparents’ first (real) escape room, and they loved it and were super impressed. I think kids and newbies would have a lot of fun, so I’d still recommend it.

Our little group of three had a fantastic time in this room! The puzzles were intuitive but a little challenging at the same time. The theming and room design of this one also really did it for us!
