“The UK’s Scariest Escape Room” and you can see why. The concept of being locked inside a building with a deranged serial killer attempting to capture you at any point sounds terrifying, yet Contained has managed to make it a must have experience! If you’re looking for a horror escape room you can’t miss out on this one. The anticipation constantly building up throughout the game with the added pressure of time running out makes it all the more terrifying. Honestly the best escape rooms we’ve ever been to.
Gameplay
So much fun and so immensely thrilling. The adrenaline - the fear factor - the excitement, all fit together perfectly.
Atmosphere
The decor - the props - the live actor, all perfection. Every element of the room added to the experience and made it all the more terrifying yet thrilling.
Customer service
We were welcomed and monitored by Sean who, once again, did such an amazing job at looking after us. From getting the adrenaline flowing during the briefing to always giving the perfect hints and pushing us towards the right direction in regards to the puzzles (no matter how stubborn we were all behaving), he was fantastic at adding anticipation and an aspect of terror into the game all whilst making sure we were safe throughout. Couldn’t have done a better job.

The whole plot and the way it was carried out was like no other escape room, the attention to detail and effort that’s put into the game is unmatched.
Story
The story behind the room built up so much adrenaline before the game even started and the entire time every new piece of information or every puzzle added to it made it so much more interesting and thrilling.
Difficulty
Hard
The puzzles themselves weren’t too difficult yet not basic so was still entertaining to do, which was perfect added with the stress you’re fuelled with which can sometimes lead you to forget about the puzzles completely. They were so well thought out and were different to most of the common escape room puzzles.

The jump scares were perfectly executed and added with the constant fear of being captured made this the perfect horror escape room.

Live actors
Yes
The live actor was TERRIFYING. His performance was nothing less than oscar worthy. The way he played his part and managed to scare us before we even saw him for the first time was unreal. He added so much to the experience and made us feel so on edge we lost all concept of reality and felt like we were actually inside the storyline. Once again all I can say is: Perfection.
