Ten Colours by Just Escape is a unique high-score-based escape experience, where you’re given 60 minutes to tackle up to 10 individual color-coded rooms, each with a standalone puzzle. There’s no story, just pure puzzling, with the difficulty increasing as you progress. We played in battle mode, split into two teams of two (max 3 players per team). The GM was incredibly patient and caring, giving a thorough and clear explanation before the game and taking time afterwards to walk us through the puzzles we struggled with—as well as the ones we didn’t get to. Puzzle design leans heavily on observation and trial-and-error, more than logical progression or narrative. It’s a different kind of challenge that can feel intense and frustrating, especially for those used to more traditional escape room structures. Our teams reached Room 7 and Room 8, which the GM said was a strong result, considering that in over 2 years, only 8 players have ever completed all 10 rooms (which is less than 0,5% based on the numbers on their website). Recommended for experienced puzzlers or anyone seeking a competitive, brain-bending challenge. Not ideal for beginners, unless you’re up for frustration with a smile.
