Shady Jim's Jewellery

A very eclectic kind of room, Shady Jim’s was just a bit odd all around. Puzzle flow was weird along with a mix of very thematic and not really thematic puzzles I found myself a bit lost throughout. The puzzles weren’t necessarily difficult and the humour throughout the room was a fun addition but I did leave feeling like it could be a lot more. A cool theme I haven’t really seen used elsewhere just strangely executed.

Had fun. Will be back. Found it challenging, needed a few clues to get going.

An interesting inclusion to Trapt's roster, a jewellery heist room with a bit of humour and self-awareness thrown in there, it's good fun but needs a bit more. The puzzles themselves are implemented nicely into the environment around you but the direction and flow in which to solve them can quickly become pretty muddled through some obscure signposting. Not game breaking but could use a tweak. Shady Jim's is a rare experience where the darkness inside the room actually fits the theme and creates a better atmosphere as opposed to just inhibiting players for the hell of it. Would love to see a more concrete storyline that raises the stakes or gives a greater sense of urgency but I still had a fun time. Solid room, good for a couple laughs.
