Opening September 18 - Our story takes place in the mid 20th Century, centering around the brilliant psychologist Dr. Frederick Lowell and you, his cohort of unusual patients. Otherworldly yet dormant abilities lay within your minds and only Dr. Lowell has been able to help unlock them. Yet his unorthodox methods got him banished from his community. Lowell and his family fled, along with his most prized patients, to find refuge within a strange and abandoned castle. Soon after, tragedy struck. Lowell’s wife Attie fell from the castle and died. Plagued with torment, the doctor’s work began to take on new meaning. He believed that with your help and abilities, he may be able to bring his greatest love back to life. Yet, resurrection hardly ends well. An epic and haunting adventure awaits those willing to play their part in Delusion’s latest interactive play. You will play the role of Dr. Frederick Lowell’s most prized patients, found sleepwalking on the grounds of the Red Castle. Yet this time, when you awake, your memory has faded and Dr. Lowell is nowhere to be found.

Reviews

If you're looking for a scare, spend your money elsewhere. As an immersive play, it was cute and enjoyable, but as a haunt, this was not it. The venue was gorgeous, the actors were fun (whoever played Nicholas for our 6:50 show really outdid himself-- blew EVERYONE else out of the water!), the makeup for most characters was way overdone and distractingly fake, and the placement of the audience was poor for certain moments that were supposed to be magical: for one stunt, a third of us couldn't even see it, and for a character entrance that was supposed to be a supernatural surprise, they specifically told me to stand somewhere where I could see the actor waiting in the corner and then crawling to her mark. We got the Ward D VIP experience, which came with access to a special part of the lounge (which, tbh, not particularly special at all) and we got to dress up as patients and become part of the play for other guests' show. THAT was honestly the best part. I'd say it was worth the extra amount between regular ticket and vip, but not necessarily worth the total price.

The vip experience was the only truly satisfying part, so if you have money to burn, go for it i guess, but I still don't think it was worth the total cost. If you're on a budget, skip this haunt altogether.

Good, not great. Unfortunately, at almost $150 a ticket, I expect more. Not as scary as previous years and certainly less “wow” stunt moments. We enjoyed it, and some interactions were a lot of fun, but given the cost, I’d seriously reconsider attending again.

I LOVED it! This is in my top 3 Delusions of all the years. I was thoroughly impressed by the space, flow of the show and the amount of personalized interactions. I can recall 2 major and 5 minor personal interactions I had in the show and Jeremiah had 2 major and 1 minor as well. My favorite moment was just myself and one other participant with an actor that felt like something straight out of the Shining and it’s was soooooo amazingly fun and exhilarating. Overall the storytelling was clear, the actors were great, the stunts were much more limited this year but still wonderful, the venue was stunning and it was a fun and immersive experience. Wear comfortable shoes, there are A LOT of stairs and a small area of uneven ground. It was cool outside in the waiting area but moving around in the show I definitely got a little warm and would’ve liked to have taken my hoodie off but I was too engaged to do it. Our show was opening weekend and they were having some technical difficulties that got them a bit behind schedule so we had extra time to eat cheesecake on a stick and watch the magician before starting a bit late. That said, we had no technical issues that we were aware of in our show. If you have never been to Delusion you will still be able to follow and enjoy the show with no extra backstory. I highly recommend!!! I was invited as media to cover this event on a night open to the public.

This year’s Delusion was good. The house they run the show out of is the most impressive part, it’s huge. Story wise this year is not as scary as years past. With the price increase and less interaction than years past it’s debatable whether it’s worth it. That’s what really makes these shows awesome is the way they can allow everyone in the group to be included. We did have a lot of fun and it was memorable. If you’ve never done a delusion show this will be incredible but if comparing to seasons past it falls a bit short.
