Gen 3/4 Game Deep in the jungle lies the Temple of Oculto (Hidden Temple), where the great warrior, Guerrero (literally Great Warrior), was buried with his amulet, the Heart of the Jaguar. When raiders stole the amulet, they unleashed Guerrero’s curse, turning the temple into a treacherous place filled with spectral guardians. Only by returning the amulet and performing a sacred ritual can the curse be lifted. Until then, the temple remains a warning against greed and disrespect for the dead. Are you brave enough to lift the curse?

7 escape rooms

This location is 2 for 2 with 5 stars from us. Great customer service, fun but challenging puzzles, fantastic themes, props and room decor. We've had a great time in both the rooms that we've played.

Gameplay

Our first room without using hints! We're getting better at this...nice integration into theme even if we'd seen the puzzle mechanics before. Challenging without being too hard for us relative beginners (8-10 rooms done) But just fun with the special lighting and sound effects. Loved it.

Atmosphere

Everything worked and there were no padlocks or combination locks--all themed and integrated into props and display pieces. The last puzzle was particularly challenging. Glad we had some time left!

Customer service

VAL was great getting us into the spirit of the game and theme. Lots of hospitality from the team.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

No padlocks, etc. All themed puzzles and extra special lighting and sound effects add to the immersion--I'm mean of course you know it's a game, but it was fun to explore the theme. Who doesn't love a good curse?

Story

Yes, from the game master's role play to the dramatic effects, it all enhanced the experience. But it was also just plain fun...

Difficulty

Medium

We haven't played that many games (less than a dozen) and this was the first time we didn't need any hints. There were a couple of puzzles that took us a bit of thinking to finally work through, but we never got too frustrated and had a good time working together to solve them.

Game tech

High tech

Everything we've come to expect from a modern Escape Room in 2026.

Ideal number of players

4

We were a family of four (two mid-20's boys and parents). Two or three players with experience could do it or even a group of 5-6 might work as well.

Scary

Spooky

Yeah, snakes, why did it have to be snakes? We were worried that might come up. Luckily we all got along!

Minimum age

7

There were a couple things that might be out of reach for a child, or shorter person. Nothing extremely scary if they don't mind adventure movies. Puzzles challenging but not too tough with adult help. In fact, they might be better at not overthinking things!

Was anything broken?

No

All good!

Live actors

No

Physically active

Somewhat

No climbing or crawling, but definitely moving around the whole room several times.

Accessibility

Color blindness might be an issue for one puzzle. Height disadvantaged folks will need assistance. There are some low light experiences and some reading of text, but light sources are provided. Some instructions were verbal.

Easy to find location

Yes

Though we had been there before...might miss the turn into the complex and you have to go all the way around to the back.

Parking

Easy

See location comment.

Safety

Yes

No issues. Just moving around the whole space,

This is the newest room and super immersive. There’s no classic locks, it’s all very prop heavy and the hints and characters are very involved in the room too. Just challenging enough and a few puzzles I’ve never seen before! Abby was an amazing game guide, and very in character!

Very immersion experience. More of a beginner friendly type escape room, but still enjoyable enough for experienced players. The immersion storyline was especially enjoyable. Our guide Erika was also awesome and friendly.

I have to start this review the same way I started Lucky Dice Diner by noting that this is by far the kindest, most caring escape room company/staff that I have ever encountered in my 60+ escape rooms. I am severely immunocompromised, and the staff wore masks throughout our visit, had air purifiers on in the building, and sanitized objects prior to my arrival. I have never felt so seen, safe, and cared for when doing rooms before. I look forward to returning to Expedition Escape the next time I'm in Pennsylvania and cannot thank them enough for taking my accessibility seriously. And as for the room itself: This room does a wonderful job creating that feeling of being the main character in an adventure story through well-made lighting, sound, and effects—we had an absolute blast playing! The tech was astounding, and this room is also all tech, no traditional locks. If you're looking for a fun, immersive experience, look no further! The one thing I think could really take this room to the next level is having adaptive difficulty. We escaped in 34 minutes as a team of two, and there was definitely clear opportunity to add additional puzzles to the last task of the storyline for anyone hovering around the 1/2 time mark, to make sure everyone is having a full close-to-an-hour experience. Shout out to our GM, Anna, who gave me a wonderful birthday surprise since we'd initially booked these rooms for my birthday in October—I was absolutely delighted! And a huge thank you for being so understanding when we were late and apologies again for our timing mix up!

Customer service

Genuinely the kindest staff I've ever met

Accessibility

People with low vision might want to check in with the room ahead of time to discuss possible accommodations ; we took stairs up to the second floor to get to the room, but perhaps there is an elevator we didn't see; two puzzles require color differentiation

Super immersive and worth staying together and doing each puzzle as a group, watching what happens after they are solved. High tech, some great effects and theming spot on. Highly recommend!
