Such a fun room The immersion … wow. It lives up to the reputation for immersion alone It’s a love letter to Goonies, Indy and any adventure movie. This is a fun room if you are an experienced player or new to escape rooms. Light on volume of puzzles or things to do but heavy or story telling which was just a joy to play Tidbits: Easy parking but hard to access on a heavy traffic day (right off expressway) Amazing waiting room; the immersion starts at the parking lot

Great experience, not a great escape room. There is literally no failing because you are walked through it if you can’t figure something out. That was my one gripe.

The Temple of Light truly felt like an escape room done by Disney. Everything, from the absurd scale to the ingeniously immersive puzzles to the perfect balance between guided and unguided sections. The acting of our guide was so good, we debated what was "real" and what was scripted until the end of our 3rd game (made even blurrier when he was our guide for the second game as well, seamlessly integrating actual events with his role). From a set design standpoint, this is one of, if not the most aesthetically attractive and jaw-dropping games I've played. Somehow there were multiple wow moments in practically every scene, on top of a shockingly varied amount of themes crammed into this single epic game. While this was undeniably not a puzzle game, the interaction design was among the strongest I've seen in an escape room. It truly felt like actually interacting with mechanisms within a tomb, and what we did often had a massive impact on the game space. Escape rooms are many things to many different people, but if you love escape rooms because they take you on an adventure, I can't think of a more adventurous game than Temple of Light. It is a bold, visionary experience,

Gameplay

While this wasn't the most puzzle focused game, there was a clear intention in the interaction design that made the adventure so memorable.

Atmosphere

This is a world-class set on par with something you'd see at a major theme park. The scale, detail, and design is off the charts

Customer service

Everyone was so kind to us and our host ran the game so well for his "first" day.

Particularly interesting or different

Yes

Mindblowing scale, amazing puzzles, just a world class experience all around

Story

It wasn't that the plot itself was prominent, but moreso that the game immerses you into an adventure narrative flawlessly.

Difficulty

Easy

Mostly tasks rather than layered puzzles, but there were a few that were challenging.

One of the most magical experiences I've had

It was incredibly captivating and well done. Can’t say enough about that, but I didn’t care for the format. It felt more theatrical than a true escape room. Didn’t care for the host to be continually involved in the gameplay. But that is just preference. I like locked in a room race against the clock vs a very guided experience

This is the first in the storyline for Keepers of Balance and can be played first or second with Sunken Realm. A great room for all ages.

Gameplay

We were living in an Indiana Jones movie. Everything was themed so well.

Atmosphere

Music, lighting, and theming was all excellent. The ads show some of the most exciting moments but every room of this multi-room experience was special and unique.

Customer service

We had a dedicated GM who was also an interactive actor at points. Overall excellent.

10 escape rooms

A uniquely (for us, at least) detailed, immersive, enjoyable experience that definitely deserves to call itself an 'escape adventure' rather than a mere 'room'.

Gameplay

Immersive and enjoyable puzzles with no traditional locks (combination or key). Entirely linear.

Atmosphere

I've seen other people say that this location is like a Disney attraction, and I think that's an apt comparison in the best way. We've been to no other location that comes close to comparing.

Customer service

Our guide, Parker, was fantastic and elevated the experience.

Though it isn't physically cramped with 6, the linear nature may leave some participants with little to do in larger parties.

Spooky

I don't believe anything is intended to be scary, but there are moments which could be a little much for younger or particularly sensitive participants.

Spoilers, maybe. Just the one sequence that requires climbing narrow stairs, crawling on hands and knees for a short distance, and then going down a slide. Though no one in our group chose to use them, we were assured that there were bypasses available.

Accessibility

See above. Most of the experience was spent in quite dimly lit areas and no flashlight was provided. Bending and reaching above heads both required. Color recognition required. I don't recall sound being important except insofar as it being difficult to hear our guide trying to contact us at times over music and sound effects. Smell-sensitive individuals and possibly those with asthma should be conscious of the use of diffused scents and fog throughout.

Easy to find location

No

While the address will get you there on Google Maps, the logo on the sign is actually quite small and the main entrance is located on the back side of the building from the parking lot with signage that was confusing to some in our group.

Parking

Easy

Gravel lot.

Safety

Yes

Though a means of immediate egress was not always apparent because of the nature of the experience, emergency buttons were present throughout, and our guide was obviously constantly monitoring and communicating with us.

Our guide, Connor was absolutely amazing. My 8 and 9 year old boys kept debating whether he was an actor. The set was asking the best I hand seen and it was just a massively fun experience. Thank you for a great time!
