105 escape rooms
Just completed the "Buried Alive" escape room at Escape this in Sydney CBD and WOW - this was hands down one of the most extreme and terrifying experiences I've ever had! If you're looking for something that will genuinely scare you and push your limits, this is it. The moment you're locked in that coffin, the claustrophobia hits HARD. It's pitch black, cramped, and your heart starts racing immediately. I'm not usually bothered by tight spaces, but this had me questioning everything! The darkness is so complete that you feel completely isolated and vulnerable. What makes this experience truly unique is the collaboration element - you're working with someone else who's also trapped in their own coffin. This game mechanic is brilliant and unlike anything I've encountered in other escape rooms. You have to communicate and work together while being completely separated, which adds this incredible layer of tension and urgency. The storytelling is absolutely top-notch. The sinister narrative that unfolds throughout the experience is genuinely chilling and kept me on edge the entire time. Every detail has been carefully crafted to immerse you in this nightmare scenario, and the writing creates an atmosphere that's both psychologically intense and completely engaging. This isn't your typical escape room - it's a full psychological thriller experience. If you have any issues with claustrophobia, I'd seriously think twice. But if you want to be genuinely scared and challenged in ways you've never experienced before, this is an absolute must-do. Highly recommended for thrill-seekers and horror fans. You'll be talking about this experience for weeks! Pro tip: Go with someone you trust and communicate well with - you'll need each other to get through this one!
