Missing at the Mortuary

The staff were wonderful, the puzzles varied. We were so close but ran out of time, not because the puzzles were unfairly obscure or anything but because there were only two of us and we aren’t the best at escape rooms.

This is a solid escape room experience. Our group only had time to do the escape room, but if we could do it over again, I would recommend doing the tour beforehand to get the full story of the true crime! The puzzles were a bit on the lighter side so I would expect to exercise more of your scavenger hunting skills. We were also only given 45 minutes to do the room, which is probably sufficient. We were treated with the utmost care as well. They had to move around our original time and the communication was a seamless one. Overall, I would highlight this attraction if you’re looking for something unique to do. I can imagine the reservations filling up quickly during Halloween!

This was a wonderful experience - I took my friend for her birthday because she likes escape rooms and spooky things. The tour prior helped us realize just how cool the whole room was. The two girls that helped us were fantastic and for two people this room is HARD. We are good but for some reason, the inclusion of a live actor made us skip such simple things - embarrassing. We still had an amazing time, especially with the surprise that was the ending music.

Awesome room. The theme and location match perfectly together. The game flowed and made sense. The owners were very nice and in the end, we were hot to go.

My friend and I had a great time during this experience. We stumbled upon doing a random search trying to find a room we both haven’t done and this popped up. We decided to give it a try and we were not disappointed. The tour beforehand was interesting and added to the experience. You don’t need to do the tour before the escape room but we thought “why not?” Our tour guide was great. Thank you for a fun night!

We had a great time at the mortuary! We took the tour beforehand, which really added to the ambiance. The escape room was definitely difficult, and I felt like we struggled quite a bit. I feel like the signposting (what goes where) and flow could definitely improve (and maybe more blacklight flashlights), however the puzzles and decor and overall macabre atmosphere were great without being over the top. Customer service was top notch here as well, and we could definitely tell a lot of love was put into the experience. If you're looking for something different and off the beaten path, the Lamb Mortuary is calling your name! ⚰️

Really awesome room. Very well done & the ambiance was perfect. Game masters were lovely and very nice. Definitely a harder room. Went with a group of 3 and we finished at exactly the 45 min mark. Great experience overall, not scary.

I’m always looking for unique experiences in Los Angeles and this one did not disappointed. I read about this place in the book chopshop years ago but to visit and experience it myself is insane. I first took the tour to see the real locations like the embalming room and freezer room and to hear about the crime once more. Afterwards I did the escape room and it added a whole other layer of intrigue. It’s 3 rooms and with a live actor as the morticians assistant but only for clues. I really felt like I was back in the 80’s attending a funeral here only to find out I must escape and go through the morticians items. I don’t want to spoil too much more but amazing job. This experience is created by 2 women who have an eye for puzzles, story telling and design. Thank you for the experience! If there is a level 2, I’ll be back!
