In Search Of An Exit is excited to host the return of Double Dog Dare Ya after a 30+ year hiatus! Larry Lombino is back and better* than ever!** (*“better” is subjective.) (**certainly better than in 1990 when he was cryogenically frozen due to his crippling anxiety disorder, at least.)

As others have said, this isn't an escape room. It plays like a gameshow. The theme is early 90s nickelodeon vibes but the play is probably the closest to something like Gamechanger. The questions and challenges vary substantially to the point that what comes next is a consistent surprise. On top of that, In Search of an Exit has great production and presentation and talent which all means that it's really easy to get into the feeling and vibe of what they're going for rather. Another place doing the same thing would probably fail because the challenges/questions would get predictable and/or the host wouldn't sell it in a way that would help you lose yourself in the moment. I strongly recommend this for anyone except for kids. Definitely too hard for kids.

This is NOT an escape room. It is a live game show. It is INCREDIBLE. In Search of an Exit knocks it out of the park again. We are so lucky to have this crew in PDX. Grab 3 of your friends; you won’t be disappointed. Targeted for ages 35 and up older (at least in terms of pop culture references) but honestly everyone will have a good time. Run, don’t walk, to this room.

DO THIS NOW!!!! It is absolutely phenomenal. In Search of an Exit is already one of the most unique Escape room experiences you can have. This takes it 10 levels higher than that. Even just signing the waivers is awesome. Truly, this is one of the most incredible experiences my team has been a part of. You will have a blast. There is not a single aspect of this I would change. And none of this mentions Patrick. Patrick was made to be a gameshow host. Our team is a mix of introverts and extroverts, and Patrick just made it perfect for everyone. His passion and energy is just infectious. Best game master ever, hands down. He also worked with me beforehand to help us add some more surprises for the team.

This is NOT an escape room. It’s a game show. Yes, that’s right you and your friends are contestants on a game show with a 1980’s vibe. Very well done, really fun way to spend an hour of time!!

If you've ever wanted to be on a game show... grab some friends and go play this right now! The trivia is fast paced and the minute-to-win-it style challenges are wild! Patrick had us laughing from the beginning and the fun didn't stop until the game show was over an hour later. I can't recommend this enough!!

This is NOT an escape room... But it is an equally good way to spend 60 minutes. In search of an exit quality executed with the same humor and fun encapsulated in owner Patrick! This was literally everyone's favorite activity that we did for the time that we were in Portland which included multiple highly rated escape rooms on Morty as well. I don't really want to give anything away but there are a bunch of rounds where there is a quiz and then a super fun activity or two related to round theme that will have you absolutely laughing, challenged, and undoubtedly entertained. Best for a group of four. A lot of questions are aimed at folks around for the 80s or 90s, but playable by all. I would recommend this as a must do activity if you're in Portland!
