Obsessed by Dark Riddles was the first room of our Athens Escape Tour 2026, where we planned to complete 18 rooms over 6 days. It was also the only game of our first day, played late at night.
We were a team of five very experienced players. For me it was the first time playing in Athens, while some members of the team had already visited three to five times before. It was also my first time playing together with this group, which made the experience even more memorable.
The game starts immediately, without the usual explanations about rules and safety. From the very first moment, the atmosphere pulls you into the story, setting the tone for what becomes a very immersive experience.
Throughout the game you remain in a constant state of tension, punctuated by cinematic acting moments that move the narrative forward (where some were quite intense and very captivating). The puzzles are medium difficulty, which works well for a horror driven experience like this.
During our playthrough, the electricity cut out twice due to a neighborhood blackout. When the power returned, we simply continued where we had left off, almost as if nothing had happened. Because of this interruption, the experience lasted a little over two hours.
Despite that unexpected situation, we had a lot of fun, and itβs easy to see why this game has been recognized in TERPECA.
Big shout out to the amazing actors and their performance.
Recommended for players who enjoy immersive experiences with some scary moments along the way.
