Chasing Valhalla

I (middle-aged dude) did this with my 14 y/o son and one of his friends (14 y/o). We were able to escape with time to spare and we had a great experience!! It was challenging but workable throughout. The puzzles were interesting and novel, yet intuitive. Flow was clear, linearly connected, and aligned with the story arc for nearly the entire game play. As puzzles were unlocked/discovered, they mostly came with scrolls that gave just the right amount of nudge on what to do next. It contained some cool special effects and an impressive breadth of content (felt bad for the staff as we left…dozens of things to clean up, reassemble, and reset). Everything was clean, legible, and in proper working order. GM was chill and informative. Don’t waste our time with nonsense, but gave us the rules and some critical info for this specific room (how to open a non-standard lock we encountered, a specific caution about “things on/off walls”). Kind, courteous, and enthusiastic. Great experience!

Very welcoming staff. Some puzzles could’ve flowed better but the overall theming and care put into the room is great and I look forward to more rooms from them.

This game is a good start from a new company looking to get into the scene. While a few puzzles had us seeing stars and could have been better clued, overall Break from Reality accomplished a very good puzzle game with a decent set and story. The hosts were incredibly attentive and kind, and their nudging kept us on track.

This room Was amazing, the theme and designs were great and made you really feel like you are in the theme. The owners were awesome, interactive and care about the room. This room puzzles were challenging but felt great to start the brain up.

Great room. Very unique. The atmosphere was great. There were a lot of puzzles and the flow was super fun. Bravo!!!

Fun room with lots of great period details! Definitely packed with puzzles and some tricky (and non-intuitive) parts, but the passion of the game designer came through.
