408 escape rooms

It’s one of Breakout’s oldest rooms, but still offered. It's pretty straightforward in terms of theme (you have one hour to escape the killer/kidnapper before they come back after they locked you up), but it was one of the firsts where you start out handcuffed. A little creepy. These days, a good intro for someone who is new to escape games

Good at the time (did this room 8 years ago), but since the room is still offered, it’s not as strong

21 escape rooms

This should not cost $120 for two people to play. Especially one of the two is a 12yr old child. Rated as a medium difficulty, we beat it in under 35 minutes. The staff seemed astonished that we beat it so fast. Apparently we’re the fastest ever and only two people. Unfortunately it took us 5 of those 35 minutes finding the first key to really start the game. Quite disappointed with the cost to time and difficulty ratio. Should be $80 for two people.

320 escape rooms

This was my second time playing The Kidnapping. (My first time was at the Asheville location about five years ago) The puzzles flowed well together but we’re on the easy side and the room was pretty bare. I didn’t enjoy this game on my first play, and while I did enjoy it more on my second go, I really only replayed it as a warmup for Kidnapping 2

The only hard part of the game was finding our handcuff key that was hidden in plain sight. It took 20 minutes and a clue to find it, and the rest of the game was incredibly easy and fast paced

We played with a group of six, and everyone seemed to be included at one point or another, but there were definitely times when one or two of us weren’t solving anything

54 escape rooms

Overall this room was okay, I would expect better at a 5 star escape room. The main attraction was being handcuffed.

Gameplay

It was mainly just a dark room and it had a puzzle that wasn’t used.

Atmosphere

It could have been better. It was just like a dark room

Customer service

They were nice!
