You're Next

You’re Next by Breakout Escape Rooms was the 3rd game of Day 3 and the 7th room of our Athens Escape Tour 2026, played with the same team of five. Like many games in Athens, the experience immerses you straight from the beginning, quickly pulling the team into the story without much transition time. The game is intense and quite scary, keeping the tension high throughout. The environment is well built and more detailed than in several other horror rooms we played, which helps strengthen the immersion as you move through the different spaces. There was nice acting and cinematic to convey the story. The puzzles were playful and nicely connected to the theme, giving moments of relief between the scares while still pushing the story forward. There is also a clever hint system introduced roughly a third into the game, which works well within the narrative. One aspect that stood out for me that day was the very loud sound design. This was also the case in the other games we played that day (Left Alone and Prison Break). While the volume certainly contributes to the tension, at times it made communication within the team more difficult than necessary. Overall, it was a fun and enjoyable experience with a good balance between scares and gameplay. Definitely recommended for players who enjoy strong horror themes.
