Closing July 18 - This one-of-a-kind summer camp designed for kids and teens with an interest in acting, haunted houses, theater, and/or dressing up as unique characters. Our 5-day camp will teach budding actors the genre of haunt acting, as well as, behind the scenes tricks and techniques for working in a haunted attraction. Kids will begin by developing an original character with its own backstory, motivations, and interests. They will go on to design makeup or a mask for the character, create props, and put together the costume (costumes and props will not contain blood or weapons). Throughout the week campers will learn haunt acting techniques from actors in the field, personalize a set for their character, learn how to apply makeup from a makeup artist, learn how animatronics work, and practice what they learn inside our professional Nowhere Haunted House attraction! Fun exercises, breaks, games, and snacks will be a part of every Camp Nowhere session. On the final day, we’ll hold a performance for our campers’ families -- a walkthrough of the haunted house complete with show lighting, audio, and of course our newly trained haunt actors in professional makeup and costumes!
